  • pc's/windows can run Mac os X

  • That says a lot about Apple right there. Windows could have kept Apple from putting their OS on their computers. But they did't, while Apple did that way it SEEMED like Apple computers were better.

  • And i blog for obama.. that expalins alot about PC users

  • you can get a pc and still run all your mac stuff

    hackintosh

    fuck apples locked ways

  • @FreeForAllGamerz Hackintosh is illegal.

  • @GallifreyVlogs pcs can run alll mac stuff with its apps

and i dont own a hackintosh anyway

  • Macs are for self-absorbed children sipping coffee in Starbucks.

  • Talk about your prize and possibilities stupid bitch mac. Both most important things in which Mac fails big time. And why don't you say OSX can run on PC? Because you just want to fool people with shitty arguments like crashes and viruses which are solvable, but you won't solve wasted money and possibilities mac has...

  • @DarkPatro56 Amen.

  • I HATE EVERYONE THAT ARGUES ABOUT PC VS MAC. buy what you want just stop posting needless bullshit backed up by regurgitated opinions and ungrounded stereotypes about the users. If you are two narrow minded to see that both have advantages and disadvantages depending on what you intend on using your computer for then please just keep it to yourself because nobody important actually gives a fuck.

  • @Pwnage9191 YESSSS!!! SOMEONE WHO'S SANE!!!!!

  • i wonder how many of these pc's have iphones...

  • I'm a Mac

  • Give it a rest. All we need to know is that while Apple spends money on ads, Microsoft focuses on development.

  • @Grebnedlog55 NO. Microsoft won't be around in another 5 years :L

  • @MrWillSlash Nope of course they wont. I mean it isn't like Apple is losing market share and discontinuing their only foothold in the professional market (Mac Pro).

  • I was like: FTW, that's bill gates. When i saw him, actualy im the only one saying that

    So, IM DUMB

  • "Hi, I'm a Mac." "& I'm a Mac too." "& I... wah?" Well, now you can create this thing called a Hackintosh, which allows you to run OSX on a PC, so I'm kinda the only computer you'll ever need." Apple, you do realize that the fact that you now share x86 means it works both ways.

  • Didn't this Mac ad come before this MS ad? So basically the title is very contradicting.

  • @danieljosecabrera Meh who cares about laptop and you made worst comparison, HP's laptops are known to be crappy made and crash all the time (mostly cause their drivers suck). Im talking about a normal PC not laptop that's first. 2. today almost everyone can configure their computers so that no-cfg Mac isn't really an advantage. 3. Mac isn't a bad machine im just saying that you can get equaly good PC for 2-3x less price than Mac and calling me boy while your 2 years older... nuff said.

  • The PC who studies the law.. is hot...

  • and I love sex. I have a PC... called MacbookPro.

  • and i like trains.

  • Pc Commercials are about what nice cool features you can do with technology.

Mac Commercials are about Mac being a superior and bitching about the competition.

I wonder if this reflects on the kind of people these companies wanna reach.

  • @AxeHomeless You are right on the money there.

  • @AxeHomeless Its meant to be funny. Get a sense of humor.

  • im a human. i live

  • since windows 7 arrival we haven't heard a lot from mac lollll

  • @danieljosecabrera That's because you don't know how to properly configure your pc. I have mine for 2.5 years i run Xp, Linux (Fedora) and windows 7. Never had to reinstall any of the operating systems above. Don't know what kind of stupid sh!t you do with PC (or your just mac fan boy so you talk shit about PC) but PC if build and configured right can run even better then mac. And the whole point of mac lost it purpose when mac got intel CPU, mac is basically PC now so sell those lies elsewhere.

  • @doomserpent HEY BOY! take it easy no need to swear, I'm just saying what happened to me plus u don need to configure a mac before use, and I'm not telling lies boy chill, it happened with a white HP laptop i bought on best buy more accurate in San Diego, CA plus how good could it be that you have to basically but it together so it would be a really good piece of machine?? come on boy listen to you ( in this case read what you write) well come on you are being really entertaining

  • Responder a este vídeo... now calling me a mac fan boy , haha bro you see i used pc for about 8 years before switching to a mac and you have no idea how comfortable the change was, well i also think this is over gratis you got a rocking pc and i got my mac book pro good for us we like what we got but you could even swear on the response of this a little more and i would still like mac :D best of luck and chill out boy swearing doesn't make you right neither smart :D

  • PC can also run mac os x

  • @charlesferia Only if you make it a hackintosh :P

  • @MrOblivionLP well you can dual boot OS X on a Windows PC

  • @wilhamlin Oh yes that's right! I read it like OSX could run on a pc xD - I know Mac can dual boot windows :) To have Mac on a pc=Hackintosh? And to have Win on a Mac=Dual boot?

  • @MrOblivionLP a hackintosh by is a non Apple PC that has OS X as it's main/ only OS. Personally, Windows7 is my main, but when I boot, I can choose from Windows 7, 8, Ubuntu, or OS X (quad boot?) and mine is definitely NOT a hackintosh

  • @wilhamlin Ah cool! How is windows 8 btw :D? Ubuntu<3 I dual boot with that :P

  • @Deergab Hackintosh FTW!

  • yes, but it can be difficult to actualy run Windows on a PC!

  • There is no OSX for pc because nobody needs OSX for pc

  • As far as I'm concerned Hodgman was using touché correctly, apple have always been playing catch-up ...and then saying over and over again thats its innovation. Also windows-machines dominate the market still so .....anything apple say is by default a response to microsofts success. As is clearly demonstrated by thier advertising methodology.

  • I hate Apple.

  • Why would anyone in their "right mind" want to run windows on a Mac anyway???

  • @thecrism1 I prefer Windows to OSX. But then, I prefer Ubuntu to Windows ^^

So, each to their own I suppose! :)

  • LOLUMADMAC?

  • Windows is the program (that's the creation of Microsoft) that's were there money is from so this is a advertisment for Mincrsoft.

  • It's not illegal its software afterall is jailbreaking an iPhone illegal? No.

  • Hi im a pc and i hate your shitty ads.

  • These commercials are douché.

  • If you are comparing a PC to a MAC, then ytou have to pick a £1300PC and a £1300 Mac. The PC would win for performance vs cost pretty easily.

  • macs suck, and the personification of the mac computer is a douche.

  • I bought a PC for $399

My buddy got a mac for $1500

guess which one runs Starcraft 2 better

  • @Joecoolman26 haha awesome comment :)

  • @Joecoolman26 touché!

  • @Joecoolman26 A computer isn't for only playing games. It's a lot more things. PCs may play games really good but they suck at all other things in comprarison to MACs

  • @JudasDrankTears I know PCs and Macs can do more than games, games just happen to be some of the most demanding tasks you can throw at a computer. I record and edit music on a daily basis with Cubase and Audacity. I have tried to use Garage band and Logic, but I felt it was way to restricting and held my hand with too tight of a grip. Maybe I just don't like paying 50% more for a name.

  • @JudasDrankTears Uhh, that is not true and makes no sense. If a PC is better at running games than a Mac it means the specs are better therefore it is better and faster at everything.

  • @Joecoolman26 Gues what OS Starcraft 2 was originally designed for?

  • @macsdestroypcs

Both of them. It's how Blizzard rolls.

  • @Joecoolman26 Touche

  • @Joecoolman26 Iis amazing how you compare mac vs pc on how well Starcraft 2 runs but lets see when you work, maybe try to edit a video or work on abode cs5, maybe maya developing, but when the time comes enjoy Starcraft 2 tubs up boy!

  • @danieljosecabrera When I work, I use Cubase, Wavelab FLstudio and Audacity. I've tried to use Garage band, but it annoyed the crap out of me and limited what I could do. I can't say I use those progams you mentioned, but I'm sure I could run them just fine on my Personal Computer.

Games are one of the best ways to tell a computers power, that's why I used Starcraft 2 as an example.

  • @Joecoolman26 Well garage band its not to be compared with other audio editing programs such as Pro tools and I'm sure many programs work well on a pc but I've work on both and there is not a point to compare how well mac works with any kind of program and yes games are a good way to compare but no the best way, try something like maya it needs want more capacity on a computer than a video game

  • @danieljosecabrera I also judge by good solid numbers, and Mac gives you smaller numbers for your money. I don't like paying for a name.

  • @Joecoolman26 well besides numbers and money mac software doesn't have as many errors and conflicts, windows is a lottery what about vista? suck all the way permissions for everything it seems stupid not to be able to configure your settings and be done with it, plus mac hardly fails I've had a lot of pcs crashing down after a week of purchase

  • @danieljosecabrera user error must have happened

  • @danieljosecabrera naivity, to run starcraft 2 you need minimum of a good dual core processor and good graphics card. Try edit a video on CS5 on a macbook? Please stop embarassing yourself, if starcraft 2 can run better on a PC than a Mac then clearly video editting and rendering is going to be faster, due to a faster processor, also that Adobe CS5 supports GPU processing, so that ur GPU renders effects, allowing ur processor to do other things. I have a sub £1000 PC, and its better than a Mac

  • @chuninuzomaki I actually have a mac book pro and never ad any issues using any cs5 program, or even Maya also i play world of warcraft and starcraft 2 the game work on any computer, but cs5 on a regular pc with the same crachteristics as the ones on my mac it doesn't work and I've seen it happen, thats why I'm sure that I'm not embarrassing myself, i also know that a well geared pc is way better than my mac book pro but compare computers with the same specifications :D

  • @danieljosecabrera my laptop running a core 2 duo runs it fine, I don't know what computer you've looked at. Also you did contradict yourself there saying that if a PC is higher spec than a Mac it will work better..... so why did you buy a mac when you clearly had the option of buying something more powerful for the same price and even cheaper.Don't buy into marketing campaign that Apple is better, every OS has its fails and I'm just pointing out that you can do everything on any machine.

  • @chuninuzomaki i might have made a mistake and mixed up but you get my pint sorry for the contradiction and well for me giving what I've had and the pcsa dn the mac ill always get a mac never crashes never a virus never a rebook in the middle of the work well cheers ! i love mac you love pcs thats whats makes this world interesting isn't it? we all like something different

  • @danieljosecabrera

not to burst your bubble, but there are viruses for the mac now.

  • @Joecoolman26 I can guess which one crashes more too. Not sure what kind of deal you think you got for 399. Now if you had both invested the same amount in a computer, I could definitely say yours runs it better and will be running it better for another 5+ years.

  • @samrdbarnes My PC is yet to crash on me. My friends mac is always freezing, pinwheel and everything. even my moms $200 netbook is crashless, and it could technically destroy an Ipad. I shouldn't compare those two, a netbook is a small computer and an Ipad is... a big cell phone?

  • @Joecoolman26 sure, MS is better for gaming, but thats not why you buy computers, we have consoles for that? a mac is NOT more expensive than a pc listen close. I have both. Ive had my mac for 2 years without a single problem. On my pc I spend a fortune upgrading to windows 7 and buying programs like word and it just returned from reparation for "system malfunction" cost me nearly 200 dollars. Its 1 year old... oh my god.. and mac run everything else other than games way better than windows.

  • @guitaruler but you probably paid twice as much for it.

  • @guitaruler I hear you there. I bought a custom built, top-of-the-line PC for £1,500 (aprox) back in 2008 and by the next year I was already having problems. It would randomly lock up on me (I mean completely lock up so the entire screen froze) at random times. I then spent over a year (longer than I'd had it before the problems) trying to get it sorted to no avail. August last year I snapped and bought the cheapest iMac for £1,000. Over a year and still running like day of purchase.

  • @j800r

Then you've clearly done something very wrong to your custom-built machine, for I can find a dozen people that I know personally (not to mention the tens of thousands of users out there) who have had the exact opposite experience. If you made no attempt to find out what the issue was ,then I can't exactly sympathize with you. The custom-built PC arena is for people who know what they're doing. Did you try to find out what the issue was, or actually succeed in doing so?

  • @MaestroDraven and you clearly jump to conclusions and wrongly assume. I said custom built, NOT home built. I also said I BOUGHT a custom built PC, not "I built a PC". Did I attempt to find out what the issue was? AGAIN, I stated I did (for over a year!!) in the comment you were responding to, therefore highlighting your ignorance. My iMac is the best computer I've ever used. I know my stuff so don't you DARE try to insult my intelligence. You're happy with your PC then good for you.

  • @j800r

You said it would randomly lock up on you. There are only a handful of possible reasons as to why....all of which are fixable with very little effort. Sorry if my comment upset you, I didn't realize this was such a sensitive issue. If you "knew your stuff" as you say, then how come you couldn't figure this out? In your comment below, you reference going to Apple to sort things out, so it's clear you don't really know your stuff at all, otherwise you'd have fixed it yourself, yes?

  • @j800r And your single experience is clearly the only way to determine which compute is superior. The truth is, Macs are for morons who cannot do anything more than move a mouse around and turn the machine on and are willing to way overpay for inferior hardware that can't be customized. PCs are for people who are smart enough to configure a system from scratch and know the value of a dollar.

  • @MewCat100 Dude, quit trolling. I was not addressing you and I have never said EITHER is superior. The truth is NEITHER is superior. A Mac IS a PC so this whole PC vs Mac bullshit is ridiculous. You COULD do Windows vs OSX but as any PC (including Macs) can run either OS that argument's redundant. You could argue Macs vs custom made PCs but then you might as well do Dell or HP or Acer vs custom. A Mac is just an OEM PC running OSX. The pointless flaming needs to stop. Neither is better.

  • @j800r Like I said, Macs are for morons and you just proved it with a completely nonsensical statement. If you weren't in it to state which you think is superior, why post your moronic experience in the first place? While PC can simply mean Personal Computer, it is often used to refer to machines running Windows. You see, you are committing the fallacy of equivocation and making yourself look really stupid in the process.

  • @j800r You see, a Mac was a PC even before switching to Intel chips, but that doesn't mean anything. Clearly the Mac/PC argument in this particular context is meant to compare Apple computers to Windows based machines. In fact, one is better than the other depending on how talented you are, want you want to do with it, and how susceptible you are to marketing. You are an idiot, which you demonstrated not just with your fallacy, but with your lack of basic knowledge.

  • @guitaruler Oh! And I'm running Lion now. £21 to upgrade to a new OS version and it runs just as well as SL. Plus I know if I DO have a problem I only have to go to one source (Apple) and they will get it sorted.

  • @Joecoolman26 THE MAC xD

  • @guynumber20 yup, but not by much. You're the first to say that though.

  • @Joecoolman26 Mac..cause he runs windows on boot camp :P

  • Apple says that Windows runs better than on a Mac than on a PC, it works fine for a month, then the Mac faulty software either crashes the computer or slows down Windows. After that Windows gets slower and slower because of Mac's out dated faulty software till the point when running Windows on a Mac is like running League of Legends and the settings are all high on the old Dell Laptops.

  • Mac vs. PC, Fender vs. Gibson... whatever.

Go out, try them both, buy the one you fancy most.

  • All Apple fanboys are queers :D

  • AHHHHH INCREDIBLY POINTLESS FLAME WAR.

  • "Why buy Mac?" To load it with Windows. Jesus.

  • @MrGreekIdiot You have both so that you can play games, but not have the constant infuriation that comes from running Windows.

  • @labratbum I've been using Windows for the past 8 years. All computer hardware come with problems, nothing's perfect anyway, but I can say I'm pretty satisfied with W, especially W7. I've got nothing against Apple, they're brilliant, but Windows is out there for people who just want a PC. Mac's way over that.

  • why should I use microsoft on a mac, maybe its better to use a real pc instead. and not to use money, for a near pc feeling. I not understand those apple nerds. I can run MacOS into the VBox but why, I don't want it...

  • so wait, the point of this commercial is 'you can pay more for a mac then run the same programs you can run on a cheaper but technically superior pc?'

Mac is saying buy a PC?

  • I think I will stick with my PC... I mean sure macs look nice but they run unbelievably hot... WTF and its mostly because they don't want anyone to be able to mess around and upgrade parts... so you know the lifespan could last longer... for 2200 I could have my PC run for 7-10 years or I could have to get a mac every 4 years... way to go MAC.... you guy's take the cake on greed

  • love the disclaimer 'purchase of windows XP required'

  • its funny because mac realised that you have to have windows!!

  • i bet it doesent run well on mac tho

  • @fearedjames runs great!, better than my old pc lol, it runs both of them simultaneously so i can switch between them whenever, and its faster and better on the mac, i have windows 7 and its awesome on my mac, i use it for opening my old windows folders and some old school games that wont run on my mac, like diablo 1

  • You can run Hackintosh on a PC too...

  • @luciferiexcelsil wtf is hackintosh?

  • @urmomashouse a Hacked version of Macintosh OS that can be used as any other free OS.

  • @urmomashouse installing OSX10 on a PC base.. its not hard.

  • @luciferiexcelsil

    Not very well.

  • @luciferiexcelsil Touché

  • @luciferiexcelsil Except it's illegal : /

  • @luciferiexcelsil Not the same performance. LOL

  • @anthonyrossbach actually... its the same... the parts Apple uses are exactly the same as any other computer...

  • @luciferiexcelsil well actually, most motherboards, graphics cards, networking cards etc. dont work with mac os

  • @anthonyrossbach i see wat ur sayin there, much better performance from a hackintosh

  • @luciferiexcelsil Illegally and terribly, I might add.

  • @JrvUnleashedMusic who cares if its illegal?

  • @luciferiexcelsil

Assuming you don't want to have trouble with updates and such, most people.

  • @JrvUnleashedMusic pfft, you'd need very low computer literacy to have trouble with that..

  • Comment removed

  • Respond to this video...

Point is, hackintosh is a hassle to install and a hassle to maintain, whereas normal Mac OS on a Mac is completely streamlined and automatic. I'm not saying I couldn't deal with that stuff, because I build PC's and I'm a very tech-savy person; I'm just saying that I'd rather not deal with it. It's nice having everything in a perfect package so you can focus on your work and not your computer.

  • @luciferiexcelsil thats pretty hard to do though, i'd rather spend the extra money

  • @andj2009 Actually, running Hackintosh on a custom PC is rather simple these days. Maybe the methods you looked up are older ones. But from what I've seen of it, it's basically a three or four step process to install Mac OS on a PC.

    Not hard at all.

  • @luciferiexcelsil WTF does that mean?

  • @luciferiexcelsil Touche :P

  • "Purchase of Windows XP required" ... I don't think Microsoft is really going to protest this advert.

  • I'm a Windows PC...

We launch NASA's shuttles, Send in the troops for the US Army.

We make up 93% of the worlds computers.

We run any program, Play any game.

Mac is no more a threat to us than an Ant is to a Tank...

  • @DemoraX Can you run iMovie? Nope? So not every program... My Macbook Pro runs Crysis, btw (and well)... it runs all programs from both Windows and OSX. Sorry, my Mac runs more programs than your PC.

  • @backwardshoe yes it actually can. It can also run alternatives that are FREE and much more simple and usable than imovie. ever herd of virtualzation softwares that can run Mac? VMware, virtualbox? hmm.

  • @Ticomfreak Yup, you can have your VMware, I'll stick with my dual-boot, thank you very much. Yes, I am aware that you can also dual-boot OSX on a PC, however, I am also aware that it is an unoptimized, terrible experience.

  • ... I'm a PC because I can UPGRADE it

  • It just goes to show how far apple had to go as a company to get people to use their systems - put windows on them :/ I'm a graphics designer and I use both W7 and osx and I experience more software problems and hardware problems on the mac

And for those who think hackintosh's are buggy, think again, it's very simple to do a clean, un-modified and un-changed install using an original osx disk (search osx86)

  • Mac= Fail

  • i have PC and i have a Mac i like them both, but if i had to choose i would go with a Mac, because it just beats windows at so manny things and yes i paid lots of money for my Mac and little money for my PC.. BUT! dont you spend little money on a car and you still want a lamborghini or a ferrari...... Think about it

  • @dcsk8ter80 Did you just compared cars to computers? Dude, you can't say "I installed a lamborghini enghine on a ferrari. That's just stupid.

  • @Metal2Hedgehog no i didnt compare cars to computer, i compared buying cheap but still wanting to have the expensive.

  • hypocrite!!!

  • Mac: lol, I run windows shit derpderpderp

Windows: seriously, just get a fucking pc

    commercial ends

  • For all i-know-nothing-about-what-i-say's (synonym for mac-fans):

Mac is a computer. Period. When you buy a computer, you pay for it's hardware and software. Buying a Mac means you pay twice the hardware's costs for an OS which -after a point- had to support other OSs to run other softwares. And by spending that much money, you get an upgradable-but-limited piece of metal, looking "nice" on your desk. And you pay that much money to pay much more when you try to upgrade it.

  • You can run Macintosh on pc thusly known as hackintosh

  • @attilagenius94 illegal and bugy

  • @yehoshua2123 no its not illegal and yes it is buggy.

  • @attilagenius94

Though its very unstable due to lack of hardware support.

  • @mozdonny well yes because no person who builds a pc would be stupid enough to use Mac OS. Its like baking a cake then adding liver cream as the icing. Not well suited unless you prefer that option.

  • @attilagenius94 sure thing mate, its obvious for us, but not for everyone :((

  • @mozdonny yup i hope everyone will realize the truth

  • @attilagenius94 tshh nice comparison

  • @Ticomfreak thanks, I enjoy making anagolies:)

  • It's amusing to see Windows fanboys bragging about some overcomplicated bullshit that doesn't necessarily show computer skill, but just shows you'll tolerate overcomplicated bullshit as long as it's cheap and if it works.... sometimes.

  • ...Can't Mac be sued for that?

  • @TheXnaut no becuase bill gates helped design apples first os so technically windows is linked to mac but mac doesnt want pc to use its stuff cuz its a dick

  • Wait? Didn't he used to make fun of him for running windows?

  • @Ben756 Yes he did. But he realized there are dickheads out there bitching about PC games and that type of shit. Not a lot of people, but I guess there are file things and stuff like that.

  • the guy to the right at 0:45 is in die hard 4.0 right ?

  • The name of the game is HARDWARE mac I can swap out a video card whenever i want on a PC but not on a mac, I need an apple certified video card which is costly and a pain in the ass. Also I can never use something as simplistic as a one click mouse I need complication in my life.

  • fuck a mac

  • gay.....

  • It's all down to personal preference. For games, I use Windows. For almost everything else, I use Macintosh.

  • @KentuckyFriedGunman Well said.

  • 0:08 BILL GATES FTW!

  • I dont understand Apple, they say that Macs are for all the fun stuff when PC are for all the boring office stuff... FAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! ITS THE EXACT OPPOSITE!!!!

  • @poliv67 They are both meant for the same tasks for the most part. But, Macs are able to handle the more "fun" stuff (audio recording, movie editing, dvd burning, etc.) better. A Windows machine will handle games better at a much lower cost. I use both and have learned what each is used for so I spend 1500 bucks on an MSi Windows gaming machine and 1500 on a MBP for school and work. And by the way a Mac is a PC, it's not Mac vs. PC it's OS vs OS.

  • @fulleride05 A windows computer can handle MUCH more "fun stuff" who made intel popular...Windows PC's!

  • @Ticomfreak That's how I used to think to before finally buying and converting to the Mac platform. Learned real quick how one dimensional and boring Windows is. Everyday I deal with people in the art/business communities that are throwing Windows to the wayside because Microsoft just isn't getting it.

  • @fulleride05 I've used OS X. It is a FACT that Windows has more apps in that kind of business that are much more powerful than mac counterparts. However, people are just too dumb to use it so they just go to Mac thinking they get a superior product.

  • @Ticomfreak Well Apple produces Final Cut Studio, basically an industry standard video editing suite. But, I guess that's child's play to Windows...? So iLife, Aperture, and Logic Studio hail in comparison to Windows...? Apple has the larger, more versatile App Store for their products. Your "FACT" doesn't seem to be holding much water. And in the terms of 3rd party software, many are compatible with OSX. Maybe Mac users aren't as dumb as you so ignorantly and arrogantly believe them to be.

  • @fulleride05 yes true, Windows doesn't have an app store at all (Unless you use windows marketplace, but come on who uses that?) The reason why I say there ignorant is because Windows has more applications and games than almost any other OS and most mac products have a windows version (also mac is a ripoff of FreeBSD, you have to pay $149 for pretty much a service pack (windows doesn't) you can't upgrade shit on it vs windows you can upgrade anything (hardware wise))

  • @Ticomfreak So people need to be able to play games for their jobs so they should use Windows? Because that's how you're making it sound. Regardless Valve, Blizzard and others are writing for Mac. Did you just take the BSD junk from what someone else said? Because if you did research you would realize it isn't a rip off only rather implementing certain functionality assets. In essence it's like me saying Windows is a rip off of Mac because of it's GUI, just pointless and childish.

  • @fulleride05 PRT 2. Don't get me wrong, those are all still good products, but windows has their alternatives that can do a little more, most of which OPEN-source and FREE.

  • @Ticomfreak So I can't upgrade anything on my Mac? I'm pretty sure I did an HDD and RAM upgrade several months back... As far as upgrading honestly how many people really sit down and upgrade any other components realistically. Ask your average user and they will just go out and buy something new. Comparing Freeware programs to any Adobe, Apple, or M-Audio suite is like comparing a Mclaren F1 to a Ford Pinto. What more can Audacity do then ProTools...? NOTHING! Open Office to iWorks...? NOTHING!

  • @fulleride05 1. Compared to a non-apple branded computer...Yes. 2. I do...kept the same computer for 7 years. 3. There are more still Open-source programs (those are just the most popular) but as more features come in, the learning curve vastly increases, so, people don't use 'em. o yeah and open office/ others can do more, every herd of PLUGINS?

  • @Ticomfreak 1) Last time I checked CPUs, LBs, and GPUs can be upgraded with effort. 2) Learn to read I said "average user". 3) Stop with the freeware, most are useless. Granted some freeware programs like MPEG Streamclip are amazing. Do you mean all the plugins that are available for FCP, Aperture, Logic Studio, iWorks, and so on? It's obvious you're not educated in Macs and just burying yourself. The only leg you have to stand on is games but games mean next to nothing... you're done.

  • @fulleride05 1) In the sense of higher end hardware, you just can't run it on OS X because it's so unstable unless it has a specific set of very limited shit from china. 2)ok, i get it...you know because no one can wrap there heads around a computer that opens like a door. 3) Most are useful for what they do, for instance blender, or open office, etc. Plugins are available on all programs listed in this argument and even more, for instance Wax 2.0 on Windows is so advanced like no one can use

  • @Ticomfreak Well you're wrong yet again. I guess you have no clue about high performance Hackintoshs. That "very limited shit from China" is only limited to the motherboard and Intel CPU. Everything is the same what don't you understand? Blender is an astounding program, OO is great as well again I'm not denying good programs. Wax is junk! Have you ever even EXTENSIVELY used a professional editing/compositing program? Secondly if Wax is so great, why don't professionals use it?

  • @fulleride05 It's kinda like saying If IE8 and below is so bad, why don't pro's use it? it's because they don't know how to operate a computer like a slightly advanced user.
