i have a samsung focus and the SAMOLED screen is amazing, the color depth is crazy, the blacks are so black, every color is vivid and bright, love it! im taking my focus back tomorrow, second time now the OS and had a catastrophic failure and im not going to try for a third =P ohh well, i wanted the galaxy anyhow but i thought i would give wp7 a shot, i do love wp7 but i feel they released the OS wayyy to soon. needs lots of debugging still =(

@xmetl Pretty sure it's too expensive, and a lot of wasted tech. Super AMOLED is largely wasted if you're not going to use touch controls which you won't for a tv. The best you could hope for in this little line would be AMOLED as they can simply remove the TSP and you should have the same effect, or close to super AMOLED.

But even standard AMOLED is too expensive if not impossible to put on a large display. For now anyway.

This is why I'm personally waiting & very excited about Samsungs Android I8520 from samsung will use same screen with slightly smaller screen, smaller CPU, Bigger battery. It should last even longer than 2 or more days. My 5800 will last one day on full charge of extensive use of features. Also if you switch them into flight mode or GSM (2G) rather than UDMA (3G) you sh0uld experience longer battery life indeed.

Samsung screens always look amazing. I remember when colour screens were emerging, every one had dull passive LCD and Samsung were there with the stunning active TFT LCD. Though their software kinda sucked too much at the time.
