I live in South Yorkshire now but as a South London resident of 30+ years and regular visitor since, I have to say I am bitterly disappointed. In the 1980s the big idea for commuter areas was to open multiple accesses to stations to save on the costs of opening multiple stations. Here is a perfect example of how this idea could have really worked. The (Blair, Brown, does it matter?)-promised "joined up thinking" is absent, my friends... It exists only in our hearts and minds - for now!
I often have truble getting accross the footbridge ith my bike, wish the gate was open would be easy to get in. Why dont they construct a small entrance on the gate side
