foreign automakers are not bound by the crazy labor contracts of the uaw that the big 3 are. plus, most foreign automaker plants are operating in right to hire and fire states. in the u.s. foreign plants are highly non-union and your average worker in these plants make $20-30 p/hr less because of that. unlike the big 3, foreign automakers are not forced to hire uaw labor. by contract the big 3 have no choice but to hire uaw labor which has been sucking them dry for over 30 years.

They make the fenders in the U.S. but they can not make any money on them (nor pay tax) and only if the workers could work for less maybe they could earn a little.

They make the seat covers and engines in Canada Mexico and Brazil but at a loss (no tax) and only if the workers could work for less maybe they could earn a litte. They do their accounting in the Camon Islands and that department makes a lot of money, only their is no tax in the Camon Islands. Only corporate jets and salaries.
