  • I hear this place is restricted, Wang, so don't tell 'em you're Jewish, okay?

  • needs more blue screen

  • Oh, they should have kept this in!!! LOL. Thanks for posting!!! :o)

  • Sad those two ever got along as they both added to each other success, though if Belushi had not died Murray would never had done Ghost Busters as Belushi was picked to do that and Strips, funny how life goes

  • bill murray and chevy chase hated each other

  • @tedtheshed I'm pretty sure they still hate each other.

  • @Terminalphychotic. Yes it is, the guy Bill Murrey portrays got rid of the gofers by using an airstrike with a flight of 4 A-10, he stole a code book to get them to drop 10 JDAMs and unload all 30mm onboard the aircraft. Only 3 of the 10 B52 dropped their ordinance though. Last I heard, he went to hide somewhere in the Ukraine as a professional nanny.

  • Terminallypsychotic are you for real, rofl idiot.

  • Hold on, Let me just clean the place up a little...VRRRRMMMMM (blower)

  • This scene should have stayed in the movie. It's pretty funny.

  • BILL MURRAY IN 2012!!! :-D

  • it sucks those two had to get old

  • They must have had a lot of good stuff if they could take a scene like that out Very funny.

  • Feelin' blue?

  • i just wish they made movies like this today.

  • Hey. You scratched my anchor!

  • That is one bigass mower. I imagine it'd be a bitch to drive something that huge on a golf course. :)

  • @csigamer90 Jacobsen F-15's were actually pretty easy to drive, and fun. They were impressive to drive. My favorite memories were mowing on dewy mornings. The water/grass spray that would shoot up off the units made you look like you were driving a hydroplane across a lake somewhere while mowing a 16 foot swath of grass each pass.

I used to say anything under 15 foot was just trimming.

Using one of these was mowing.

I used to mow grass for a living and I was happy all the time

  • lol

  • See More at best golf movies.com

  • Hey Whitey! Wheres your hat?

  • That wasn't deleted.. I saw that scene in the version I saw.

  • @Deckard439984r Well most of the scene was,but I believe they deleted all of the "Full blue" screen shots that we can see in this version. lol

  • I accidentally hit another golfers ball once. The guy went absolutely ape shit. You would have thought I just killed his first born child. :)

  • @marathon1974 DUDE,thats hilarious,lol

  • durring phy ed class we went golfing at country club,us guys chased a squirrel up a tree we clubbed it to death, lol we all got detention.

  • @ericou812 You should have gotten your ass beat to death too. What a bunch of fucking jerk-offs.

  • @MrBasilGanglia hey we were just your typical small town boys, lol

  • @ericou812 That is not typical, that is phsychotic.

  • @marathon1974 Given your lack of attention to the ball, with that shot, you just may have.

  • @marathon1974 Follow him around with a fog horn, use it during his backswing.

  • my grandfather was the head of security for SNL, and he said that for a long, long time, Chevy Chase and Bill Murray use to hate one another, that on one occasion, they got into busting eachothers balls , and it got more and more serious, untill my GrandFather had to break them up from fighting.... they later became good friends.

  • @arsenalylknw12010 Chevy and Bill were never on the show at the same time (Other than when Chevy came back to host twice)

  • Carl Spackler has his own website?!

  • its cool how they were in the mischief together. Gotta be brothers man.

  • FOUR! (whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiooooo SMACK! ) Oooh! I should've yelled TWO !

  • Big hitter, the Lama...Long.

  • Carl, I want you to kill all the gophers on the course!

Um, correct me if I'm wrong but if I kill all the golfers, they'll uh...lock me up and throw away da key...

Not golfers, GOPHERS!!! The little brown furry rodents!

It's not my fault nobody can understand what you're sayin...but we can do that...we don't even need a reason!

  • "The dance of the living dead"

  • everyone, we need to join Chevy Chase Day Should Be a National Holiday on facebook!!! so come on and join!!

  • So what? So let's dance!!

  • "What, are we waiting for this guy?..hey whitey, where's your hat?...lets go..while we're young!"...."Do you mind sir, I'm trying to tee off"...."Oh yeah? 50 bucks says you slice into the woods"...."Let me remind you sir that gambling is illegal at Bushwood, and I NEVER slice.......DAMN!......"Ok, you can owe me"...."I OWE YOU NOTHING!!!"

  • These scenes were included when it made its first TV premier back in the early 80's..they had to cut so much that they used edited clips to fill in the time.

  • @WiseGuy5674

    Yea I remember this scene......

  • this is part of the tv version

  • My five year old son,....I've already got him sayin'..."I ain't payin no 50 cents for no coke"

  • Don't sell yourself short, judge. You're a tremendous slouch.

  • youtube " TheAntiTerrorist " and see what else is happening, whilst your being distracted.

  • Cool scene, better than the do-do in the pool scene in my opinion. But in no way is it better than the "playing through" scene. Two of my all time favourite comedians, in one scene! It's such a shame to hear they don't/didn't get along...

Meh, it's all history now I guess.

  • Actually Chevy and Bill were not friends and really didnt care for each other due to an argument they had years prior. There was a lot of tension about the scenes where they had to work together but supposedly they were fine and worked as the pros they were setting aside any animosity they may have been holding on to.

  • @timmyd61109 there was no tension, it was a friendly yet competitive edge if anything because years before the two had worked together in National Lampoon and SNL and when Chevy Chase was finishing his years with SNL, Bill Murray replaced him before Chevy Chase's contract was complete

  • @DoTheSex55 You really need to do your research bud. Chevey chase did not spend "years' on SNL. He did one year and quit because of the demands of his girlfriend at the time. The altercation between Bill Murray and Chevy is a fact and it happened when Chevy came back to host the show. The tension was in the crew and others. When they did their famous scene they both were total professionals.

  • @DoTheSex55 They got into a fist fight with each other back in the day when Chevy came back to host SNL. Murray told him that he should fuck his own wife sometimes and Chevy made fun of Murrays skin condition.

  • This is pretty darn funny!... what they should have done was delete the scene where Carl and Ty are talking at night in Carl's place when Ty was "playing through" and kept this one as a scene in replace... since Chevy and Bill were close as friends and working actors in their career, they wanted a scene with them interacting together in this movie... I would have enjoyed this one better, but at least we get to see it here 30 years later lol.

  • @YeahRight825

are you kidding?? Chevy Chase and Bill Murray hated each other. They were professional enough to get through these scenes ok but were no very close at all

  • @dawgman67 ummm, no I wasn't kidding, just misinformed. I didn't know that they hated each other. You know, sometimes people don't know everything like you do. Thanks for clearing it up Dawg... lol.

  • This scene was inserted into the broadcast version of "Caddyshack". I know, because it was in the version I recorded like, 20 years ago, off of TV. I guess they had to remove the sex scenes and needed filler. There's also another clip where Danny drops his mom off at church, which ends with his mom gesturing to Danny's departing car with a gesture and posture that mimics the statue of Mary right next to her.

I too am confused about the story of the other scene being the only Murray/Chase scene.

  • in the tv version

  • LOL, this is funny! I have never saw this before! Everybody knows about the famous scene with Murray and Chevy, but I never knew there was another! I just saw the documentary on Caddyshack "Caddyshack: The Inside Story" and they discussed how they came up with the famous Play Through scene to have the two greats in a scene together but they never mentioned another scene! I've seen Casyshack so many times, but I never knew of this scene! It''s very funny though and should have been in the movie!

  • This is shown when its on TV

  • Knew I saw it before

  • This should have been in the movie.

  • well thr u have it

  • isn't it really about uptight conservative anglos and loudmouth liberal jews, showing they're both obnoxious.

  • Brian Doyle-Murray is Jewish?

  • @calamagrostis88 Dangerfield.

  • @learningfromher That's it! Of course! A comedy film abot golf and sex and gophers is just a ploy to subconciously destroy the WASPs. Why didn't I see that before. Oh wait, I was too busy watching the movie instead of making up conspiracy theories about comedians and their writers. We, the world, apologize for our horrendous acts of enjoying a movie and laughing out loud. And let people enjoy their own religion, whatever it maybe.

  • @learningfromher The elite and wealthy American groups of this country have practically merged. Money likes money, religion and ethnicity/nationality come second. It's like the royal families of late medieval Europe intermarried. Also I think the Catholic element in Hollywood is pretty strong as well. I hardly ever see Protestant or other Christian religions portrayed positively if at all, but have seen many positive Catholic portrayals in Hollywood movies.

  • @Gamebox27 Sister Act, Rudy, Angels & Demons, It’s a Wonderful Life, Braveheart, Rocky, and Godfather all portray Catholicism positively. There's many more. Few make jabs at it, but nothing severe. There are about as many poking fun at religious practices of Judaism.

White protestant and non-Catholic sects are generally left out of portrayed as zealous wackjobs or hypocritical fakes in Hollywood productions. I know Mormons are (Brigham Young, Avenging Angel, Fletch, Footloose etc.).

  • This scene was used as a network

    replacement scene of the dingleberry

    in the pool scene.

  • Chevy Chase and Bill Murray nearly came to blows backstage on SNL. I believe Chase mentioned something about Murray's complexion looking like the moon's surface that set him off before somebody stepped between the two.

  • Belushi spread nasty rumors about Chevy to get Bill to try and fight him. It worked. But both accidently punched Belushi!

  • They did come to blows backstage at SNL.

  • ouch, that must have hurt. Bill Murray is far more talented & funnier than Chevy "i take myself to serious" Chase.

  • I doubt it. Comedians can take shots, Bill Murray is too funny not to laugh at that.

  • @edelweissnpa YEAH, IT WAS bELUSHI. aND HE WAS THE ONE WHO FUCKIN' STARTED IT! LOL! wouldn't you have loved to be a fly on the wall during that scene?

  • Wow, Bill has a good swing.

  • It's in da hole!

  • I think that Bill and Chevy had issues going back to SNL.

  • yea they did

  • Hey MillBelater,

You're right. I read that despite having done Caddyshack together, they weren't chummy. Definitely some friction there as Billy replaced Chevy on SNL after the first season and he was a hit with SNL fans. Sometimes friction can work like when Ty's working on his game at night and plays through Carl's place and he turns him on to his own brand of grass and gives him wine. A lot of that scene was improvised. Comedic genius!

  • Actually they weren't on SNL together. Bill was Chase's replacement when he left after the first season.

  • The incident between Murray & Chase took place. It was when Chevy guest hosted the second season - actually.

  • Priceless!

  • that ball was from the group behind them

  • Well, I like to think otherwise just because it's a funny concept.

  • But its not

  • what's with the blue flashes?

  • lol thanks!

  • Gaiye

  • thats weird this isnt a deleted scene in the version i have recorded, its in the movie.

  • that's cause you watched the edited, sanitized crap version of the movie. Rent the real movie.

  • but thats just it i rented it and recorded it,and this was in the movie not the deleted scenes.

  • bullshit

  • its not bullshit you are just in denial.

  • what's funny about this is that bill murray and chevy chase hated each other... they actually got into a fight on snl... of course bill murray won

  • Woah, did they really? I didn't know that! =o Awwr, that's a shame, they're funny together.

  • Yeah, I just got Chevy's book. The lady who wrote it called Bill Murray to get some quotes on Chevy and she said that he said..."Why don't Chevy Chase write his own book?....F*** off!" and slammed down the phone.

  • haha!! that's good quote!

  • LOL that is great, I have never seen that before

  • varment cong!

  • its easy to grin...when your ship comes in...and you've got the stock market beat.

but a man worth while....is a man who can smile...when his shorts are too tight in the seat!

  • Be the ball........danananananananana!

  • danananananananananana

    dananananananananananan

    dananananananananan

    6 million dollar man

  • @menzerrss22 . . . Spalding get your foot off the boat!!

  • @hogie1525 be the ball danny!

  • @menzerrss22 (ships bow falls off)

  • I like it when lightning strikes golfers!!!!

  • Go tell Tiger Woods that. He is as finely tuned an athlete as any. Golf requires balance, strength, composure, concentration, athleticism and skill. Not to mention you are competing against another player (or players), the course and (ultimately) yourself.

You're an idiot. Golf is a sport, has been and always will be.

  • your entilted to your wrong opinion! but golf isnt a sport! people sweat , from playing sports, not the kind of sweat golfers get from being out in the sun!! "athleticism??? yea! right!! hockey players are way more athletic then golfers! golf is a game!! just like darts, pool, bowling, and checkers!! just because they make wayy to much money , dont make it a pro sport, its just the dumb media hyping a "game" for people who could not play a real "sport"

  • I play both hockey and golf, as well as baseball, basketball and football. So you can cram that "game for people who could not play a real sport" nonsense right up your ass.

Next, go ahead and look up the definition of sport.

Sport. noun. 1. a game or competitive activity, especially one involving physical exertion. 2. recreation, amusement.

And while you've got the dictionary out, bone up on grammar and spelling so that you can mount a proper rebuttal.

    Thanks.

  • what's with the blue screen popping up every now and then?

  • Why did they delete this scene? Ran out of space on the DVD?

  • when it was shown on network tv they had these scenes fill the time of the restricted scenes.

  • This is deleted from the original? I know I've seen this before..

  • This scene is in the TV version only.

  • lol why did they take this out? they need a new dvd like you other guys said, with all the deleted scenes put back in or something

  • Strange how such funny actors like Murray turn out to be real grumpy and a pain-in-the-ass in real life. After seeing the episode where Murray lets OCC build him a bike I hate him. No respect for other people...

  • I just watched that episode and I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I have to guess you don't understand his humor, or something.

  • Well, I thought it was rather inpolite of Murray to just say NO, that's N and O to the design they first made. But what really pissed me off was his reaction to NUB. I mean, NUBs was trying to find a design that could match the bike and Murray just started stressing himself and the others why it takes NUBs soooo damn long to come up with a design.. What do you think of it?

    Greets

  • This is the one the funniest movies ever made.. so many one liners..

  • Caddyshack definatly needs a new DVD soon.

Here is what I would like to see on it,

This and the other deleted scenes from the TV version, also Danny in the kitchen almost getting hit with the throwen knife(shown in the tralier.) Audio commentray with Harold Ramis, and Brian Doyale Murray. Picture gallery of behind the scenes filming, DVD ROM content.

Being one of the best comedies ever this film warrents more for it's DVD.

  • i heard that chevy and bill hate each other in real life... anyone know if this is true?

  • I've read it's very true. Chevy is pretty much universally reviled in Hollywood which is why we haven't seen him in anything significant in a decade.

  • It's because everyone is so fucking sensitive and Chevy keeps it real. Bill and Chevy made up in the early 1990s.

  • This was Chevy at his best. If you love Caddyshack, you should totally check out the Chevy vid on my channel.

  • fletch and fletch lives...thats all i have to say

  • Wartraft87 - ha ha. I will assume that means you enjoyed my song. Thanks for checking it out.

  • chase makes me want to not laugh. If it was just Bill in the scene, probably would have been very funny. Why does chase have to ruin movies and sketches by getting in the range of the camera?

  • Whoa, have to add to my comment after reviewing all the political banter in this thread. I just want to say, I don't care one way or the other; nor have I heard what chase has had to say about any politician. I'm just a simpleton that dislikes chase based on his lackluster career, terrible sense of hunor, inability to create anything on his own, and his expressed hatred for anyone that thinks he's not funny. That's all, nothing political :)

  • Ty Webb... I still have such a crush. lol!

  • Hey, I never make any political comments unless provoked... so, perhaps Chevy has seen what he believes, and for the most part what the rest of the country sees as an infection that must be halted before we all fall down the endless gopher hole.

  • anybody who votes for a candidate based on what Chevy Chase thinks should be banned from voting !

  • No joke. Used to love Chevy and SNL, now I feel like I am watching a political add everytime I see them. Hate it how they are using comedy to send subliminal messages to people about politics.

  • ... they've done parodies of just about everything, i think politics deserves a go. Besides, underneath all the political BS, SNL sums it up really nicely.

  • Oh, I love the parodies... just make them equal. Don't make republicans stupid and liberals simply with character defects. I'm not a republican or a liberal, but it is obvious to me the agenda SNL has.

  • Hey, Biccus, I agree with what you say. That's what makes me so angry about tv and the news. If you're going to make fun of one side, then make equally the same amount of fun of the other side, however, I think most of the intelligent people see the bias.

  • this is not a deleted scene. It was added for the television version. "filler" for the scenes edited out for TV.

Agreed..Chevy has become a liberal ass.

  • Too bad Chevy Chase turned into such a fuckhead.

  • Hey, mesa401, I hear ya!!!Used to like him until he called Bush a "f%$king idiot" or something to the effect with the F word in it.That was so uncalled for when Carter & Clinton were the biggest f&^%$ing idiots.

  • Yeah, like not going after Bin Laden when we knew he was responsible for the embassy bombing and torpedoing of the USS Cole...and we knew where he was too. Thanks Bill!!

  • well Obama is more of a disgrace lol

btw Caddyshack gotta come BACK! =D

    great movie

  • Great scene. I'd have liked it to be in the film.

  • "Lenny, you'll watch that, won't ya?

    lol:)

  • Makes me want to golf i haven't been on a golf feld in 7 years.

  • Dont you mean golf coarse.

  • If your golf is coarse, give it a nice drink of water.

  • Fantastic movie, but I agree with the deletion of this scene

  • Although rarely used, "spelt" is the old english version of "spelled" and it is correct.

  • I stand corrected. Thanks for the useless info.

  • Great scene -- too bad they cut it! I was going to post it from the 2oth anniv. DVD, but this is longer. Great absurdity of the lawn guy giving the richest club member a spot lesson from off his lawn mower! Funny!

  • Porterhouse, I want these shoes creamed and buffed with a fine shammy. CHOP CHOP!

  • "Shammy" is spelled "chamois."

  • wise ass is spelt wise ass

  • and spelt is spelled "Spelled"

  • Chevy says Bill almost killed him while shooting this scene.

  • How?

  • Chevy was wearing those golf spikes and standing on that tractor's not the best thing, right? He told Bill not to go too fast and Bill made the fastest right turn he could.

  • thatnks

    Wow thats hilarious

  • This is actually from the TV version that was cut from the theater version. They inserted this 2 minute scene to fill up the space on TV where the R rated stuff was cut. It's a shame they don't just release movies with everything in it.

  • Is there any other form of this movie other than the tv version with the deleted scenes?
