  • this is cool but as i can open 2 projects simultaneously i copy and paste also i use logic so it wouldn't work for me very interesting though

  • Oooooooooooo!!! |O.O|

  • wouldnt it just be easier to make presets in your plug ins

  • @after11tv Not if you use more than a handful of plugins and have more than say 10 tracks. In reality this takes just 60 seconds. I used to just save plugin presets, and this is more efficient for me

  • @recordingrevolution i gotcha i gotcha. makes sense

  • So just to confirm: this is NOT on Pro Tools 8?

  • @gwell12 Correct. You can import session data in version 8, but not this specific way. Only in version 9 or 10. Sorry for any confusion.

  • He's using the fairly new Avid 10. Nice job! Don't stop. . .

  • This just blew my mind!!!

  • What version of Pro Tools is this on? I do not have those options in import session data on Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.5

  • @curt704 Must be either an HD or LE with one of the 'add on kits' only huh?

  • @curt704 This feature came out in Pro Tools 9.

  • this is an awesome tipp! thank you Graham!

  • Thanks Graham! May the Lord bless you richly!!

  • I just want to let you know I appreciate the shit out of your videos. Keep 'em comin!

  • great tip!!!

  • Graham - being as close to Avid as you are - do you have any idea why? This feature would be useful for every single mixer in the universe, without exception. Thanks again for your video's and tutorials.

  • Yeah. I use this sometimes. But being a Logic user who now switched to Pro Tools, I have a hard time understanding why you cannot save channel strip settings (chains). This feature is the one I miss the most after switching. Being able to load a chain of plugins + their settings was an excellent starting point for mixing or creating. I could have a setting called "Rock Vox 1", and it imported Gate, Deesser, SSL Comp, CLA-76, Puigtec EQ, Echoboy - etc. It was just a drop-down from channel menu

  • GREAT MAN.........AWESOME......THANKS

  • Great! I must say though, that the process in Cubase 5 is much easier. You just right click tracks in the mixer, and click save track settings. You can save for individual tracks, multiple tracks, or whole mixer settings. You then load them from wherever you saved the settings on your computer.

However, the options in the PT dialog box do seem more inclusive, as they include the options for importing so much data, whereas in Cubase it only loads track settings like volume, plugins, etc.

  • Great vid guys! Didn't know this one.
