@gergely007 That's because the 1.3 came with a round airbox and the 1.6 and 1.8 came with a rectangle one. Only the carburettor models came with the round and rectangle boxes.
@gergely007 The 1.3 had the Pierburg 2E3 carb and the 1.6/1.8 had the the Pierburg 2E2 carb, the main difference was not only the airbox shape but also that the 2E3 only had a semi automatic choke that was activated by depressing and releasing the accelearator pedal before starting the car.
The 2e3 has an autochoke also like everyone after 1988. Mine too, in cold winter it takes horrible consumption. And parallellic the temperature rising the gas pedal switch off the mechanic of the choke.
I tell ya something smart: all carburettor is a huge technical mistake, no one can run optimal performance, it wasn't an accident a car industry forgotten for a 20 years these piece of shit.

looks exactly the same as my 1.6 driver, i ditched the pierburg and put a weber 32/34 on there.

Man, what engine in this car? The airfilter box littlebit unusual. Mine is round. Did u check the vacuumbox?

Yep thanks, in the last 2 years Im experienced in that rust heaps, I see thats a 1.6 what made with Pier 2e carburettor.
