i dont understand why the size of a battery need to change and get bigger to have a more power capacity. while the sd or micro sd.. it can have a bigger and bigger memory capacity without changing its look and size...

aight thanks man but i found a solutio n to my prob they recogmend a universal charger but i didnt follow that i just had a old phone and it has the same 3 pins(the batter sa like 3 things on it and the phone has like 3 pins so used that to charge my battery then it has like half way full i pluged the battery to g1 and it work u dont need to but a new battery u accendentally drained ur battery and it doesnt want to charge dont waste ur money just do the same thing i did

Bought the 2400 mAh and love it, 3 days of use per charge with hardcore browsing, gaming, calls, and messaging. Highly recommend it and the price has come down a bit. Check eBay.

Mugen usually tries to squeeze the maximum mAH in as small package as possible and give the best quality thats why it is very costly the 2300 mAH might be bigger and from some other brand

l also forgot to mention that it lowers the sound level of the speaker system since the holes on the bigger back cover are a bit higher over the speaker holes on the actual phone itself.

I got the battery yesterday and I charged it for a full 12 hours plus 2 from what he said in the video.I turned it on at 9:30 am and had a video run all day on it.I turned the screen to the brightest,turned on blue tooth,wifi,and 3g network.I just finished draining it now at 7pm today.I will continue to drain it for 5 days but without all the stuff i stated by just normal use and seehow long it takes to drain it normally.

I got the 2600 Seido Battery replacement. It's awesome, but what I found funny was that you got the bronze back for your black G1, and I got the Black backing for my bronze G1. My G1 looks really ugly now to be honest, but I think it has more character now. Individuality! Haha.

ok i got this battery today and it says in the instructions NOT to discharge it 0% under any circumstance, but to plug the charger in when the battery low message appears on screen, which is contrary to what this reviewer is saying in his instructions

BTW - i think the slower drain I mentioned is due to some optimizations in RC33. I used a stock battery as a back-up the other day, and it seemed to drain slower than before.

i've never been a fan of increasing the size of the device in order to increase the battery life. you purchase a phone and size does matter. great review but i'd rather get 2 extra batteries and an external charger. that's how i role.

i'm a hard core blackberry user but i'll tell you that the g1 is one of my favorites. i like it better than the iphone. it has way more free apps, touch screen with a keyboard, and the OS is great.

nice review john. i decided to hold off on an android based device several months ago, and went with the e71, mostly because of battery life & the all around quality of a product line that has been around for a while, rather than a first gen product, but i have to say if I had known there would be this kind of improvement to the battery life, it would have been a much tougher decision to make. although it does look pretty brick-like now!
