  • I saw this programme where the host said in all of the animal kingdom only Humans white of the eye can be seen but I can clearly see the whites of the gorillas eyes at 0:09

  • western gorillas are actually the smallest gorilla species with males reaching 190kg (not small by any means) whereas the eastern gorilla can weigh up to 250 kg with the record at 388 kg.

  • slide looks like fun. never seen playground equipment for apes, but makes perfect sense!

  • yes it is sad to see them in captivity, but it is mans fault , without the intervention of these parks they would be gone, then it would really be a sad world.

    my sister-inlaw and i are very frequent visitors to Pport Lympne, and i have had the amazing oppotunity to do keeper for the day with the Gorillas , the keepers do an amazing job and these boys are so well looked after, as are Djala and his family
