  • can you send me the soundtrack to your video

  • The elevators were all redone in 1989. Before that, they had an woodgrain interior. You must had taken this video during the off hours, as the elevators will take you up during office hours.

  • Cool! I Love the bell chime!

  • A shame not much else is original with these elevators.

  • Nice vid - I meant to film these the last time I was in Montreal :). Those are definitely vintage Otis fixtures on the outside. Check out my videos at various Montreal hotels & Place Victoria!

  • Sure I'll go check them out! I miss the old elevators that were there. I'm sure there are some really old ones left in Montreal, just have to find them now!

  • I haven't been in it recently, but I remember the Royal Vic Hospital being a goldmine for vintage 50's Otis. The Ogilvy store and the Bay downtown have nice ones as well.

  • You know what, you make a great point. I forgot about the Ogilvy store! The Bay has some nice elevators as well. I'd love to ride that freight elevator though next to the passenger ones. Until recently all the Montreal hospitals has some really great old elevators! I remember riding on one with all wooden panelling and a light switch, fan switch and everything. Very old. There were about 6 like that at the Lasalle / Verdun hospital, and there was 1 left the last time I passed by there last year.
