  • Heroes don't wear capes. They wear dogtags. God bless our Military!

  • @RJMurray01 Thanks, Pard.

  • I love Tracy Lawrence, but I've never heard this song. Why isn't it being played on the radio?

  • To my father in law. he was a grandpa, father, uncle, brother, and friend. I'm very happy thought he got to see his grandson born before he passed. This song is was played at his funeral and it' fits him to a tee right down to the car and beer he drank god bless him

  • love ones

  • Very powerful song! God Bless the troops who served and are serving now 

  • i lost my uncle in this war and he was like my other father. He was one of the most amazing people i knew he always made me laugh and made sure i was doing alright when my dad was gone. Im 15 years old now he was killed when i was 13. I miss and love you Uncle Mark :'(

  • motivated oorah!! Marines die, that's what we're here for. But the Marine Corps lives forever. And that means YOU live forever.

  • I think is his best song. This song gives me goosebumps.

  • what he means when he says a war no one really understand is that the main thing we where trying to get done was get sadam out of power and we did that and noone really understands why we are still over there and loosing good men and women for nothing. thats how alot of people see it. but to the ones who have gave all u will never be forgotten. us army

  • "A war that nobody understand....." Not to sure what he means by that. Great song! I can tell you it is worth fighting for though!

    God Bless the USA!

  • he means the people that protest this war don't understand what they're talking about. It's almost just like Vietnam

  • To all those that have made the ultimate sacrafice, we owe you everything. You will never be forgotten.

This is one of my favorite songs ever. I have listened to it countless times and it gives me chills everytime. I've seen too many good people not make it back.

  • Tracy always has something good to say all of us in the service. It seems that he relates, like other country singers to that one lingering call that only a select few ever hear: To serve this country and hold it dear, just like you would your sons and daughters. As a Marine I understand what his lyrics mean all too well.

  • this song sends chills down my spine. thanks to all that serve

  • Thanks to all that serve in the military. My prayers go out to you and your families. Special prayers go out to the ones that are signing up as well stay safe.

  • thanks to everyone who has made positive comments on this vid. we all owe so much more than we know. had another close call...brother in law got called up again and 5 days letter said he didn't have to go back. great news for him, but someone else had to go in his place. think about and appreciate that person the next time you go out in public in the good ole U.S. of A. without getting blown to pieces.

  • great song

    U.S.A.F. Pararecueman

  • thank you sooo much please come home safe u r a true hero and my prayers go out to u and ur brothers and sister that stand beside u over there once again thank you soo much

  • Lt. Nimmons: Thanks for what you & the troops are doing. It scares me when I hear about guys going back for more & more tours. My son & I are in CAP (USAF Aux). We meet a lot of Active Duty. I'm always taken with your humility. Despite what the news says America is proud of you & we know freedom isn't free. My 17 yr old son signed his papers & plans a career in SAR which drew me to your comment. He'll do basic in Sept. Praying we can get you all home safe & soon. God Bless! HOOHAH!

  • thank you. free beers (and shots) if you ever get to the chicago area.

  • Sir,

    we're all behind you 100%.

I'm going in Jan, not sure where yet, but i do know i'm going. Only TCN duty, but for my 1st deployment, its not too bad i guess. Was hoping to go as my normal job, firefighter, but it didnt work out like that, and the "needs of the air force" and all.

Good luck, and come home safe.

  • @firefighter19123 Prayer said, Lieutenant. God Speed.

  • at my friend's funeral we played this song cuz it was his favorite song...R.I.P. Steven P. Hoda Jr. and Tanner Adam

  • they played this at my uncle's funeral...he was 43 and died from cancer...cancer sucks now my best friend has cancer and she is 19....again, cancer sucks

  • i agree.

  • Tracy Lawrence kicks ass.

  • This is such a good song but it make me sad. my brother is a marine and we're very close.

  • love you Tracy

  • Get it done See

    This ones for you

    make it back safe

this is truely an amazing song

brings tears to my eyes thinking about it very heartfelt

  • i army....reminds me of when i was deployed. i come from a small town. so this hit home....my friends all love this song...army leads the way...hoah

  • Air Force.. hua! lol - I've had a similar experience my first deployment. God Bless Ya

  • this song hits home for me too, i think its a military thing. great great song. god bless the usa and those who defend her..

  • its song hits home for me.. my whole family is army. It used to drive my mom nuts... My brother deployed to Iraq, and shortly after he got back, I deployed to Afghanistan... then, after I got back, my brother redeployed to Iraq... now Im getting ready to go back... I had my whole family listen to this song! Such a great song!

  • Im a Marine and i have loved his music, but when i heard this song i knew that before i leaved i had to play it for my friends. It was the worst and best moment in my life. I made it back though, some didn't. Air time for the song dosn't matter, the message behind the song is what does. As long as someone has heard it is all it takes for that person to tell others.

  • everytime i hear this song i think about a friend of mine who was killed in iraq in 2007. he was supposed to come home in a few months and was going to propose to his girlfriend. we have done everything mentioned in this song from having a beer for him to cheering at the home games from the vistiors side, we miss you Donovan!!

  • What is really sad is the LACK of airplay this song got. Heck we will put every pile of crap Chesney spits about being in Mexico but this can't find it's way onto the radio for consistent airplay (it was on but NOT as much as it should have been)

Same goes with the sentiments of the military. Buddy will be there in a few months, my cousin is soon to be over in Afghanistan as an officer and my brother may be going very soon with the Air Force

  • I love this song, reminds of a friend of my late husbands who's been overseas quite a few times.. He kept the last can of beer they ever drank together on the mantle till he came back........

  • Thank you to all of those who are serving/have served. You truly are America's best hero's. I lost my best friend in Iraq, and have many relative's currently serving, i'm 19 and as soon as I'm out of college I'm enlisting. Thanks again.

God Bless America, and those who defend it

  • i love that song so much and it reminds me of my dad because he served for the US gov. but luckly he didnt haft to go to war:)

  • when i was getting ready to be deployed, i had my buddies promise to look after my girl friend, and i asked them to drive my car like it was meant to be driven, and to help others when you can, well when i got home, i had the best surprise a man could ask for, a baby, we didn't know she was pregnant when i left, my boys drove my dart the way it was meant to be driven, this song sums up the past year of my life, the wedding is august 21, and she keeps me goin evry day

  • Congrats! I have a friend of mine that is going over in Sept. I hear this song and cry.

Just want to say thanks for all that you do.

Once again Congrats on the baby and the upcoming wedding. May you both have many happy years ahead of you..

  • HOOAH bro. I heard this song and think of my buddy from Basic who's in Afghanistan. I check on his wife every once in a while to make sure she's ok. Congratulations man. Be good and thanks for all you have done for this country.

  • this goes to my cousin who was a pj that lost his life in afganisan in 2004 when his chopper went down. im about to be commisioned as a lt in the army and it sums up what i feel.

  • Sorry to hear about your cousin. Not only did he serve but he chose to serve as a PJ, those who dedicate thier lives so that others may live. God said "no greater love hath a man that he lay done his life for another". It is also written that Christ said "in my father's house there are many rooms". In my book your cousin gets one of the penthouse suites. Thank you for deciding to serve despite your loss. Stay safe. Hoohah!

  • This song goes out to all of our troops fighting for us and to my brother, who made it back, Thank GOD

  • I Had That Camaro at 110

  • 110 aint that fast man

  • i'm sure you get the point.

  • This song reminds me of my cousin.. He told me the exact same stuff before he went to Iraq and even though I despise beer..I had a Miller Lite every day till he came back

  • amazing! +10!
