  • It has its flaws, of course, but good video! SWISS never operated any heavies into LOWI; much less the MD-11!! Where did you get the aircraft, by the way, good video man! :)

  • You got serious mistake during the approach! u should improve your skills;

    4) your glide slope path was more than 3 degress that's why md tried to warn you as" sink rate" that might be causes crashes during to approach or Hard G forces on the passengers.

Last one thing, Keep safe, swiss made ;)

  • You got serious mistake during the approach! u should improve your skills;

    1) You did high approach , that's why you stopped at the end of the runway. this is extremely dangerous in bad weather conditions.

    2) you deployed the landing gear too early. Deploying the landing gear too early cause usages of much fuel consumption. and it bad for your aerodynamics during the approach.

    3) Next time, try to auto - pilot till the see the runway ahead of you. you disengaged the autopilot extremely early.

  • wow! :O a little high so you landed a bit hard but pretty much perfect landing for these conditions. but i shouldnt be talking because i would've went far off the end of the runway most likely if i did this myself. insane piloting skills XD

  • @mikebuddy2 Hi man you are right. THE ils for RW26 is 5 degrees offset so when you have the runway in sight or the Lights you have to switch to Visual landing. Hope i could help u.

  • ouch, rough!!! But great overall!!!

  • A little bit too high approach :)

  • your fs is quite slow

  • Nice video, but little confused...

I mean, where the hell is 26R...? ...in Innsbruck?

And, what that plane on 6:30 doin' there? He landed on highway?

Don't get me wrong buddy, video is very nice, but it would be much better if you don't use default FS scenery.

  • Is this from Microsoft flight sim X?

  • Your welcome

  • Did you train through the military or did you go the civilian route?

  • Good job Rae! Sorry that I keep giving you advice on what to do, but you are allowed to use the spoilers to slow the aircraft down as well as those S-turns, the spoilers make thing easier though, but otherwise, good job, I've had to fly there for Lufthansa and man is that one hell of an approach, and it's scary to think you need to be going about 140knts or lower to stop before the end of the runway, that's damn near stall speed on the aircraft

  • Thanks ! and no problem, i like advices .

I believe ya , how insane it is . !

  • Yeah, now try that same thing with a 747, I never did it but I've seen it and that's when you get of the plane and start kissing the ground!

  • ha, and your heart beating like crazy

  • Yeah, but those does are long gone for me ;(

  • You only fly Heathrow and Hong Kong these days ?

  • Yep, and sometimes Hong Kong to Sydney

  • Awesome ! Do Cathay provides residence and other living stuffs at Hong Kong ?

  • Well, as a senior chief pilot, I get paid enough so that I provide my own residence, but as for that, you have to pay for everything, they only pay for your training on the equipment, that's it

  • Ohh i see. thanks for the info.

  • Quito Is hard to!

    Watch my new upload

  • Nice flying Rae, very well done indeed!

  • Thank you :)

  • dam that was nice. but im just wondering, how do you use the tiller wheel? is it done automatically or do you have to crank her your self?

  • Thanks .

It is done automatically, tiller wheel spins when i steer on ground with rudder pedal, in the air, wheel doesnt spin, rudder pedal just controls rudder. that's how i use rudder pedal with steering, and most people to like that i believe.

  • Nice

  • great job as always!

  • Thank you !

  • lol nvr knew u could land a freaken md 11 at innsbruck!! good landing 5/5

  • Haaha , well it was possible because i set my aircraft lighter then usual, which reduced the landing weight and runway length needed for landing.

Personally, it was pretty hard ;)

    Thanks

  • very niice work man this shows how good a pilot u are! well done!

  • Thank you , I appreciate it =)
