WOW This really shows what all it takes just to make a song! Lots of ppl are involved Long before it Ever gets to the stage or Studio-I'm in the Music World, so i appreciate you showing the Truth about what all is involved in just making a hit record! Thanks♥
Badfingeriveys Their vocals are a treasure. Their songwriting even more so. I wish they were here to know how much they are loved. I covered this song in bands from age 17 to 44, no way I could even come close to shining their shoes. Thanks for the post
Wonderful arrangements, melodies and harmonizing. Great band and an awesome producer, Geoff Emerick who also produced the Beatles Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Abbey Road Albums.
I'm sure there was a much longer version...I'm prob mistaken...I was seven when this came out...We used to sing Beatles songs in class(primary school!!)..I remember singing along to this on the radio and vinyl when we got a copy..Absolutely brill !!!!.Thanks for posting
Okay. I know I am putting myself out there on this one. Some folks will certainly disagree, and I respect their opinion. Well, most of the time. Without further ado, I hereby state that, in my humble opinion, this is the greatest rock and roll song ever recorded. If I move into my 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices, you will all certainly think I am crazy. One word to make you understand: TRAPEZE.
@pokerboss I second this opinion. Best song ever. Great melody, just a solid 3 minutes of everything that makes a great song great. Powerful intro, vocals, guitar solo, piano right in there, blended to perfection.
this is a musical masterpiece,by two great guitarists out of two great bands, george harrison of the beatles and pete ham of badfinger, makes you proud to be british,
You are hearing the basic difference of live vs. studio. Both the original studio recording and this live performance are played in the same key. Because of the acoustics you perceive them as sounding different. This happens when comparing live to studio recordings with many bands
I love this song and video.Badfinger fans do know who plays what on these songs and as for oblivion.. Chutzpah ! (hutspa) it's on youtube millions will see and remember ,others will discover the beauty .. sounds more like famous to me...
this video should be called "Badfinger For Dummies". Sadly Know One Knows about who plays what on these great songs as this band slides into oblivion leaving behind a sad legacy.
This song is one of the best songs ever written & produced. I have never heard a cover band come close to re-creating the quality of this composition.
One of my all time favorites....timeless!

An almost forgotten piece of trivia:
Pete's Gibson SG guitar was a gift from George Harrison !
The same guitar George used on "Revolver" and most of the "White Album".

@gtrDan1963 Thanks for that piece of trivia. That, I did not know.

@pokerboss I agree. This is what music should be. No degradation in their works. Pure, simple harmonics.

I did not know that George Garrison had a "hand" in this song during the "Duet Slide" part.....fantastic !!!!!

This song sounds slightly different....
Is this a different mix? It sounds slower or in a different key than the regular version. There's something definitely different about this mix.
