and I think that the most like thing that I think is what makes it relevant that so much in the film was I think amazing u know that I was feeling. The script was I think just so much about the script I think but I just know that everyone was floating around... that's what I think
from the The Covenant of the Hamas' electet party of the palestine: "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, , there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews
The amazing quality about Claire Foy is that she is at the same time both delicate, fragile, deceptively normal; yet, other worldly and exceptional. The first time you watch her, you don't realise how good she is because she makes it to be so easy, so effortless. Then, as you begin to get seduced by her raw talent, and simple beauty, she captivates. She is exceptional because she is able to act with sincerity, humility, and grace. She doesn't beg for attention like so many actresses.
I was surprised at how well she portrated Little Dorrit. I read the book first, and I was worried that the tv show would make the character dry and boring because she's such a moral, "uncomplicated" character. Foy actually managed to make Little Dorrit seem kind without being preachy.
this is definitely one of my favorite period dramas out there (COUGHMATTHEWMCFADYEN). foy's definitely right about the differences between dickens and austen, but i hardly think she was dissing austen.
LOL. But if she's gonna diss Jane Austen ("all that sewing and ladies being pretty," ACK), she's biting the Masterpiece hand that could feed her in the future. She's very young and sweet and talented -- naive however. Don't spit on Austen, Little Dorrit! They keep re-making her six novels over and over on PBS and the big screen and whatnot, Jane Austen is a veritable cash cow. Where do you think "Mr. Clennam" got famous? Huh? Huh?
You're right! About she's still young & unexperienced. As an actress, she mustn't say things like that, because maybe thanks to L.D., she can get more scripts of this kind of dramas.
I don't think she is dissing Jane Austen. She is just pointing out the differences between her work and Dickens' and it is true. Dickens explored much more of society, class structure, and politics than Austen did, but that's not to say that Austen's work isn't great because it is.
I agree, I don't think she was dissing Austen. Each author wrote about the life they knew, Dickens wrote about more gritty things because that's what he lived. Austen on the other hand lived in a slightly higher society, she was an intelligent woman, etc. Austen was very critical of her characters which made the story so interesting. I tend to love (or laugh at/hate depending on the character) Austen's characters much more so than Dickens because of the humor and wit Austen uses to create them.
I fully agree with you. What a wonderful acting Claire did. I watched these series over and over again. The romance between Claire and Matthew is beautiful. Keep up the good work BBC. Wish lots of success for Claire. pkaltofen
It's funny watching this interview. She did such a great job in Little Dorrit that I couldn't imagine her personality as being anything else than her character's.
Claire Foy is so brilliant and endearing as Dicken's Amy Dorritt that only the hardest of hearts could not be deeply moved by her masterful performance. She d-e-s-e-r-v-e-s to be recognized as a major star after this work and I hope we see a lot more of her in the years to come..you all MUST see Little Dorritt!! I promise it will get to you..
I so need to reproduce with her.

How tall is Claire Foy? I know someone very much like her with the same sad eyes.
It would complete my mental fantasy to imagine her in a Dickensonian London. lf "Little" Dorrit is 5'1"-5'3" that would be very good.
Does anyone know?
