Samart had to go up weight classes to go against Diesel. Even though he lost any Thai will tell you Samart is the better fighter.

Dieselnoi is known for his knee but

I give Samart more credit for having incredible skills.

Also, Samart is about 3 weight classes lower than Dieselnoi here.

@MuayThaiViking Actually, Dieselnoi and Samart fought in 1982 when they were both the same weightclass, but it wasn't filmed. Diesel won by points because of his knees.

@pirateXhunterXzoro Dieselnoi and Samart have never been in the same weight class. At that time, Samart natural weight was around 124-130 lb while dieselnoi was 140-145 lb. They agreed to fight at 135 lb and Samart could increase his weight to merely 132 lb. This mistmatch took place because both cannot find worthy opponents.

In this video Samart and Dieselnoi weighted 140 lb and 190 lb respectively.

Samart is amazing even now,trained with him a little while ago I still dont know where to find their fight but i guess both of them must have been terrified getting in the ring woth each other...dieselnois knees and Samarts perfection and ridiculous technique combos would do most people in one round
