I'm not sure I understand your reasoning. The mission to put a man on the moon was launched by a devout Catholic. As an atheist, I see your point in the harm religion has done to humanity, but it has also done good. It's hard working religious folks that built this country's foundation and built our constitution. I don't like the moral majority any more than you do, but I do realize religion isn't ALL bad.
