@nolife9439 no this is the serato controller for the traktor programs you have to buy The DDJ-T1 maybe if you noticed this i DDJ-S1 (DDJ-Serato1) you need the DDJ-T1 (DDJ-traktor1) but i dont like the t1 as mutch as this one ( tested both) this one is by my perfers the best one

Does the DDJ-S1 have a CDJ-Mode Repeating-Cue (Stutter-Cue @ 1/75 sec) function for finding the beats like on all Pioneer CDJs except CDJ-100.

With CDJ-Mode a DDJ-S1 deck at home would be the same as owning 2 X Pioneer CDJ 2000's and a DJM 400 mixer having the ability to manually find beats using the Stuttering-Cue and then perform manual Cued-Playing while monitoring their mix with headphones manually CDJ style.

So is there a CDJ-Mode Stuttering-Cue or is it just auto-grid-crap?

Is there a "freeze"-mode on the Delay effect like there is when you use the Advanced mode on the T1? And can you also reduce the loop by hitting loop out again and then use pitch bend on the jogwheel? sorry if im giving you a hard time with my english skills ;)

@votadj yeah don't see the point in pitch controllers these days, most of this type of music is made on computers. Takes about 1- 30seconds a track to pre-grid your music. This leaves more time to do magic with the mix. I kinda feel that traktor has really brought about the demise of the DJ. As in they will need to bring more to a performance than simply mixing other peoples tracks.

@l337firefly Tere's controllers out there for under 500$ that will do the job, but if u'll get pioneer one to learn, u'll get used to this layout that's used all over the clubs and u'll get in to cdj's etc, easy. Main thing is to pick the right software for u. Serato and Traktor are the most used and i recommend them. Check out the Traktor unit, DDj T1, wich is a bit cheaper, bet great as well.

@PernaMan I'll go for this one since it has the slip mode on it, if you don't know the slip mode, it makes the song jump to its original position after scratching, looping and other things. so it jumps to where it would play if you didn't do anything. T1 doesnt have and i like this function.

@mgpsu008 hi pass, low pass, phaser, flanger (jet), reverb, tremlo (gate), reverser, repeater (beatcrusher), crush, breaker, delay and echo. Plus all the slip effects for ddj s1 like slip roll, slip scratch and slip cue'ing. No, you cant add other vst effects. You can add an external device (like korg kaos pad's etc) for your master out tho....

Just a quick question, I see the usb cable is to the left side of the controller and the cable is really short, can it be switched to the left or will i need an extension usb cable?

@exoterra no, i used sync without beat grid. Its kinda like master bpm on cdj 350's. If you enable beat grids it jumps in time automatically, but i dont like how it affects cue'ing and loop rolling.
