  • can I

    count on you

    if I fall apart ?

    best

    lines ever

  • Vs. may be my favorite album of all time. It's such a perfect title for the way the guitars, bass and drums spar, play off and respond to one another in this aggressive yet beautiful and orchestrated way. Roger, Clint and Pete are so great at what they do and are so great together it feels like a miracle to me that they found each other. And they formed in my favorite city: Boston. (Yankee are re-tah-ded!) The 22 years between Vs. and ONoffON were the lamest 22 years in the history of mankind.

  • Who disliked this video?

  • @CaptainFalco311 Who cares? Haha

  • sounds like gg allins first stuff////////great

  • f-in' love it.

  • YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song kicks ass

  • love this one !! waowwwwww !

  • Does anyone have bass and drum tabs for this? I can't find any at all.

  • Best damn post-punk band of all time. Actually make that the best band of all time, I love 'em.

  • this band had some good moments..

  • Reminds me of Buzzcocks and The Dickies.

  • BEST DRUMMER ON THE PLANET

  • GENRE NAMES AND AESTHETICS.

  • I was at a Stewart Lee comedy gig last night in Edinburgh and at the end he sang this with Franz Ferdinand as backing group! (How I escaped my certain fate is the name of his new book)

  • Ya shoulda bin there....

  • Really sick of people labeling music/bands.If you like the song, you like the song.Doesnt mean their gods or saviors. It just means you like that song.

  • great album,great song,great band

  • This band had a secret weapon named Peter Prescott. His drumming is always on fire and last I heard,He still is. Great band .

  • @Count22 Indeed. Peter was and is amazing. He was the one that was doing most of the yelling in the background. His followup band, Volcano Suns, was even more witty than MOB in many ways, though more a lope through the Land of the Absurd with some of the best lyrics of that time. Certain Fate is such an amazing song and one of MOB's best. Miller's hearing came apart causing their early demise at their height. Actually, there are one of the few bands that sound as good now as then.

  • Mission of Burma rocks why even bring up brian adams, besides I hear he also puts on a hell of a show and Pearl jam, well ya know they put on a hell of a show and Eddie Vetter likes Gangreen(sic) and Fugazi-just wish it was abit more evident

  • Both terms are popular music leisure industry franchises. Listen to the damn bands w/ fresh ears and ignore the "file under" critical dweebs.

    "Honesty's an actor's worst mistake"

  • I can't believe you got thumbed down for this remark because it's totally true.

  • because "grunge" cunts don't like to associate themselves with emo cunts even though they're the same thing.

  • @FluffyLizards. Keep labelling people!

It will only get you so far in life!

    Great upload, thanks a lot!!

  • your silly

  • @FluffyLizards

Dude, you are sooo wrong about Grunge and Emo. Grunge talks about real life. Emo basically talks about a girl cheating on another guy or something like that. Emo is garbage, but I love Grunge.

  • @BeatleFan93 Yes, FUCK EMO. Its pointless and stupid. Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Groove Metal, Extreme Metal, Black Metal, and Punk are better than Crybaby Emo Music! Grunge > Emo! Thumbs Up!!

  • @PureDomination69 yeah emo does suck, but so does death metal, groove metal, extreme metal, and black metal. Metallica, The Stooges, and Mudhoney>My Chemical Romance

  • @yamon98 Absolutely. Black/Death/Extreme metal are as much of self-parodist, cartoonish joke as Emo, with even worse fans. They should never spoken of in the same vein as Classic Punk and Post-punk.

  • pearl jam is good, besides, every country has an artist like that, canada has bryan adams,we have bono etc.

  • "its just something that i knew i had to do.... and through it all i kept my eyes on you"

who cares. its a great song anyway

  • Doesn't sound like any Joy Division riff I've ever heard...

  • really...a joy division riff...how does that go? Let me close my eyes and...

  • ANTHEM!

  • good band. favorete song

  • America cant claim too much post-punk...do it while we can

  • thats true the best post punk is from the UK but i think we have better alternative rock

  • You're only half right. We also make sure there's a Wal-Mart or a McDonald's every city block. That's why we're stupid.

  • oi,what's wrong with pearl jam?

  • So do you like the song featured in the clip, produced by AMERICANS, or do you not? Why the fuck are you suddenly talking about Americans and one band that you don't like instead? Is this random, pointlessly shit-stirring posting supposed to be the product of an "enlightened" non-American mind?

  • agreed. the pixxxieeess

  • And why is that? Exactly?

  • Sorry about my irritance, but unuseful comments - like yours right here - should be nothing less than castrated.

  • Awesome. These guys influenced R.E.M., who covered Burma's Academy Fight Song. Good old basic rock and roll with passion. These guys, Husker du, black flag, etc- they were seminal back in the late 70's and early 80's.

  • why are Americans stupid?

  • We really aren't that stupid just most of are Politicians are (both Liberal and Conservative).

  • cause it's patriotic to be stupid.

  • comment is win

  • The sex pistols are great....., BUT THIS SONG FROM MISSION OF BIRMA ROCKS ALL!!!!

The ultimed "new-wave / punk song" off the eightys............... Or..., whats your oppinion????

High five from the Netherlands., Ron.

  • This album cover - and its music - are featured, with a link to this video, in this week's Crawdaddy rock magazine (online at WolfgangsVault). Cool.

  • i feel used

  • This reminds me of last summer , when i first discovered MoB. Good times.

  • One of my faves of all time!
