I always pass on the outside of a mountain corner. Thats were all the gravel and dirt accumulates. That's where my tires get the most grip. I also enjoy knee draggin on dirt roads with pot holes.

Had an idiot like this try to overtake our four bikes in the mtns..he got lucky the guard rail stopped him, but, the bike went about 200 ft down into a valley. He deserved all he got on that!!

I'll admit it, I misjudged a turn since I've been a new rider and lowsided but I would never try and pass a car in a turn like that. Hope you're ok..
First off he was riding outside of his ablitiy next he had really bad body position look at where his head was in realation to the turn he wasnt even looking turn the turn he crashed right where is head was pointing if he had been looking through the turn he would have noticed that he wasnt going to not only make the turn but there was no room to even go around the car. The one thing he did right was wear the right safety equipment he's lucky because he could have went over the cliff.
@humvee600, I work on dumb a44's like this all the time. ride smart arrive unhurt. You NEVER sweep around a car on a curve because you do not know what that driver will do or what is on the side of the car.. He could have got crushed when the driver paniced and steered into the rail.

True what you say. However if you survive, and some do, it's a lot easier if you don't have to deal with roadrash. Internal damage and broken bones are serious enough. Who wants to add skin grafts,etc.
- no police to investigate why and how you crashed so that even when you leave the hospital you can still be persued for wreckless and dangerous driving/riding.
- every piece of track on a circuit becomes familiar, predictable, every curve more familiar with each lap so you CAN push your limit a little at a time. This is NOT the case with a public road. Even if you know the road well, you can never be 100% certain the 'conditions' the 'variables' will always be the same.

True what you say. However if you survive, and some do, it's a lot easier if you don't have to deal with roadrash. Internal damage and broken bones are serious enough. Who wants to add skin grafts,etc.

- no police to investigate why and how you crashed so that even when you leave the hospital you can still be persued for wreckless and dangerous driving/riding.
- every piece of track on a circuit becomes familiar, predictable, every curve more familiar with each lap so you CAN push your limit a little at a time. This is NOT the case with a public road. Even if you know the road well, you can never be 100% certain the 'conditions' the 'variables' will always be the same.

This shows why riding a motorcycle like you would on a circuit, would not work at all on a public road. On a circuit :
- no cars
- no oncomming traffic
- no cliff's
- no guard rails to severe your head from your neck
- usually there is a standby emergency team for race days or track days
