@tassadar61 maybe because hip hop dancers dance hip hop longer than ballet dancers... plus ballet creates the center strength and the lines... plus it's much more flow-like... you can take ballet to start learning correct technique but then go dance your style ^^ hope that helps explain some things ^^

@tassadar61 Not all ballet dancers suck at it, they've been trained differently. Ballet has a lightness to it. Hold the the body up, beautiful lines, extensions..etc. There is also partnering, lifts, turns. In hiphop, dancers are supposed to grounded/raw. There is a heaviness to it, that can be hard for ballet dancer to grasp. Especially if they have been training in ballet for a long time and nothing else.
