My issue is, WHY AM I HALLUCINATING that I saw this when I was in Junior High and High School? surreal!
Me & my best friend were such crazed Monkees fanatics, oh my dog. For her 14th birthday, I even took a huge piece of oak-tag (posterboard stuff?) & drew a giant silvery Monkees emblem, with the guys standing in front (like this photo, but with 3 of their arms out: (w w w etc) ew.com/ew/article/0,,422008,00.html ).
@LitLBirdLitLBird my mum saw them live in sydney australia (where i live) in the late sixties. Mickey gave my mum his high hat stand. but she threw it away when she got married. but she kept all their LPs, EPs and singles. which i grew up listening to. but she sold them about 15 years ago. i bought all their albums on cd a few years ago. i have not seen all the episodes. just some on tv reruns. maybe one day when they release them on dvd in oz. i will buy them.
Davy was actually studying to be a jockey at one time at Newmarket which is where a A HUGE race center is in England. He was also in a horse racing episode on the wonderful World of Walt Disney. He was a jockey briefly after the band broke up.
Davy rode that horse like a champ! Probably because he has previous experience, and he probably enjoyed shooting this. I have the Rhrino CD set, and its disappointing this song is not on it along with back upon my feety.
