Main thing with a grow is light. You can have average, bargain bin nutrients, but if you find a way to deliver MAXIMUM light to the plant without overheating it, you will have a strong plant that yields LOTS.

CFL's wil get you good growth very early on, first few weeks of veg. But if that's all you have the rest of the plant's life, you can give it the most expensive nutes you can find, it will still be small and weak. Cannabis needs LOTS of light to reach its full potential.

Use pro mix for your soil with extra perlite in it get your self 2-4 t5 blaster fixtures and run it on an 18/6 for Veg and 12/12 for flower and try to avoid having to use any chemical for best results message if you have any other questions or if you want to know proper chemicals to use for both processes

I've only grown a few plants in my days, but from what I hear using miracle-gro isn't the best idea. Try using more natural supplements in your soil because it effects the taste of the final product. Also as other people have been saying you should put your plant on a wooden shelf, and use 12 hour light, and 12 hour darkness right out of germination.

My plant is 18 inches high, 5 weeks old today. Planted the same way and about same type lighting as well. I use water with a mixture of Lilly Miller vita-start transplanting fertilizer 1 teaspoon to a quart of water. You can get it from ACE's hardware. It's a 3-8-4 mixture which is perfect for the vegging state. I am still some what experimenting, plus I am on a very limited budget.

@2012singularity2012 feminizing seeds can be done, if u get a intersex female and pollinate another str8 female with the pollen from it, then u push out the male genetics, but the feminized seeds carry on the trait of intersex gene's but as long as u watch them u can remove the small ammount of balls they grow when mature.

Plants are strange organisms and are capable of many things the downside is that they will self fertilize themselves which may reduce potentcy of any bud that is to be harvested, BUT the seeds can be feminized*i.e. GUARANTEED FEMALES* when crossbred with another hermie. @2012singularity2012 if i remember correctly, if u get a hermi plant and it pollenates itself, the seeds are feminized but the genetics carry on the hermi traits, but by collecting the pollen from a hermi plant, and pollinating a seperate female, then u have feminized seeds it removes the male chromozone from the genetics, and by pollenating seperate female, u dont carry on the hermi traits, unless u cause it by light leakage or stress if u maintain all the right conditions no hermi from them

The reason it is so bushy is because you had it on 24/0. I'm sure you know this now, but if you had switched to 18/6 it would've grown taller, more space between the nodes, longer branches. Don't listen to people saying to put the lights up higher that's exactly what NOT to do. Get the plant as close as possible to the light without burning or heat stressing it. You control (to some degree) the structure of the plant by changing the hours of light, not by moving it away.

Use sterilized soil, organic fertilizer made for growing it after 3 weeks (just a little bit), and 1 400watt metal haloid (MH) light at 12 on 12 off, for vegetative growth, then cut back to only 10 or 11 hours of light to cause budding. Plenty of water but not too much, keep it around 74 degrees and 50% humidity or a bit less, the dryness causes the resin to cover the leaves for protection, and that's what you want. Watch for mold and insects, keep it absolutely dark during the dark hours.

actually your doing real good, its not tall laggy plants you want , its short, bushy plants, thats how you know you have enough light, when your plant are not stretching for light. only thing i would suggest; never grow a single plant, unless your using femlized seeds, so you no your getting at least one female, and not wasting your time on a male. but good job.

HID light or get about 10 more of the biggest CFLs you can get. your medium has to have good aeration. find some nutrients and additives with kelp and algae in it, they say it's good for stretch in plants, which is why i stay away from anything that causes stretch in my plants but in your case, maybe it'll work. good luck

it looks like an indica strain. when you flower it should double or even triple in size. just flower it. 12 hours light 12 hours of complete darkness. it should start looking hella good. i say force it to flower because cfls cant give the plant enough light, so flower early. im guessing youre using daylight cfls. use 2 of those 30 watt daylight and 2 brght white. the light spectrum needs to be blue and red. the bright white work so keep at it. looks really good!

when growing weed, or any plant, there's two ways that it grows.. the roots will grow deep and the stem will sprout up. in order to have a taller plant, grow it in a smaller planter, then transplant it into a bigger one.. when it is in the smaller planter the roots will bunch together and the part above soil will grow tall and spread out.. so when it reaches a certain point, it will start to struggle growing.. thats when you transplant it into the bigger planter. it will be very healthy!

widow is a bushy plant if you want it to strech out trim your fan leafs down and keep your light further away but keeping it tight and bushy is best for the first 4-6 weeks also get a T5 trust me its worth it FSCPF are good for clones and seedlings but not the best for grow i used a 1000watt FSCPF and only got a 3 plant yeld about 4 foot tall eatch got a t5 and now in 5 weeks there already almost 3 foot tall and only half way thruw there grow fase..
