  • You did a great job on your video. How amazing! You have trained Dazzle well. I bet you have many prizes for dog agility.

  • You and Dazzle are sooooo good, I saw your distance work in another video, it was amazing! How did you train that? Is there a certain Dvd that would help me? My dog starts spinning if I even try to send her 5 or 10 feet from an obstacle. I'm 15 and do agility (AKC and USDAA) with a 7or 8 year old Beagle, who has just started to slow down a little. We may not be as good and fast as you and Dazzle, but we have a lot of fun training and competing. You guys are our inspiration. Thanks.

  • my jack russell terrier kia she loves agility best sport going and this is a great video

  • Great video. Not ure if everything is the same in England, but i'm sure it's pretty much the same? :D

  • do you need to crate train your dog if you want to train him for agility? would it help in focusing?

  • Yes, it's better to. You will need to (unless you have a willing person near by to hold your dog's leash) crate your dog while you walk the courses. Hope that helped :))

  • I think my puppy, ella, might benefit from this. can agility be done just for fun and not for a tournament? is that silly? I just would love to nurture that ability in her but only for fun and for her to have a therapeutic experience. and then if she likes it .... who knows, right?

  • That would be great! Tons of people, most I would say - start with the intention of doing it just for fun. Often later the decide to compete but plenty just train and play with their dogs without ever competing. :)

  • this is wondreful!! 5 stars!! thank you for making and posting this vid!!!

  • love the vid!!!!!!!! =)

  • >Uh I do love this dogsport! My Cookie will do this to, very soon!

  • Great video. 5* and favorite. :-)

  • How tall is your border collie?

  • She has measurements at 19", 20" and at 20 1/4" - so somewhere in that range....

  • Oh, and she jumps 16? ...Ive never done NADAC before,,

  • What a fantastic video! Nice job!!

  • OH! THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING! :D :D :D

  • that on the end was your dog right? AMAZING DOG!! GREAT VIDEO! but can i trene my when he is 5? :S i dont know it.... :D AWESOME VIDEO! 1000/1000 okey xD 5/5

  • It is never too late to start training your dog! Just make sure your dog is physically healthy before you start any jumping with him (you can ask your vet if you want to be sure that it's okay).

  • I was searching Google for information on dog agility and happened across your video. I really appreciate the clear descriptions and great examples. I am now looking forward to taking an introductory class with my dog!

  • Great video! And I love your dog's name-- Dazzle! That's wonderful.

  • I love your dog sooooo much!!! If your not careful im gomnna take off he/she...

  • Amazing job at explaining everything, Kat! Love your Dazzle!

  • Thanks for the video! It was great at clearing things up for me. Very well put together, well done.

  • Nice Video Kat

  • VERY cool video, I really want to do this with my rottweiler!

  • This is a very helpful video! When I ask some people if they know what dog agility is, they go Huh? What? It gets a little annoying to explain over and over and back and again! Maybe I should just send this video to them all!

  • Great video! i had to explain:

    She: what is agility?

    me:Check this video! aQNl1irWGJY

    She: Ah, Whoa! Great, thanks

    =)

  • What a great video! My wife has been doing agility with our dogs for about 10 years now, and when I try to explain Agility to people, they always get a blank look on their faces, or refer to "doing tricks" or Best In Show type events. Now I know where to refer them to get a good example of the sport. Video worth thousand words. BTW, you're an excellent agility handler and video producer.

  • Well great! That is exactly what I made this video for - to help with those blank looks! Thank you!

  • Thanks for explaining the proper entrance to the weave poles!!!

  • Are there weave poles at novice level?

  • Would anyone reccomend registering with USDAA or NADAC? Thanks!

  • I would recommend registering with both USDAA and NADAC. :)

  • Wow! That is EXACTLY what I needed! I just taught my dog to go through a chute today, and she did great. She's not fast (yet), but we're working on it. I just started training her, and we're both new to it. How did you start off with agility? Did you buy an agility course set, or did you make your own ramps, jumps, etc? I made the chute, and will make the rest of the agility tools. Next up is the weave poles! Thanks again, it really helped!

  • hey nice job on this video, and nice dogs!

does your shih tzu (i'm guessing its a shih tzu) do agility too?

  • Thanks!

Yes, my Shih-Tzu does agility too!

  • Oh, i'm, getting my own puppy in the summer, and can not wait :) I'm thinking of starting with agility! it looks so fun :D

  • Why do you have only 6 weave poles? Is this normal in your country?

Because in Poland we have 12 weave poles....:-)

  • Courses have just 6 poles in a couple of our organizations at the lower levels. In the higher levels there are always at least 12 poles on a course. :)

  • Oh, that's cool :-)

    Thanks

  • thank you so much for these detailed explanations

  • Wow, great job on this video!
