I have a basic understanding of Scientology but the one thing that I don't get.

Why has David Miscavige controlled this cult for all these years and who give him the perpetual power.

How does ANY cult leader gain power over a flock? Charisma, fear, indoctrination, psychology...the basic path leading to someone submitting their own will and best interests to someone or something else is the same, but each individual has different vulnerable "access points." If someone who can ruin your life on a whim and who wields a lot of power tells you "O HAI, I R NEW CULT LEADER NAO," it is likely you'll listen and obey out of self-preservation or continued devotion to the cause, IMVHO.

I understand all that but I feel that David Miscavige is only the front. No one man, no matter how much charisma, charm or fear he commands can stay in power for over 20 years without support. After all, he was just a personal assistant to Hubbard. How did he acquire such power and who give it to him. The real power lies in the shadows.

I also find it suspicious that Hubbard died with traces of Hydroxyzine in his system and that Scientology were eager to cremate quickly.

There are some good free access 'print screen' add-ons that are very handy for image capture from web sites, the best I've found is 'Gadwin Printscreen 2.5', it is freeware/shareware and has no known bugs and works very well.
