Making the character models higher resolution is one thing, making them into sluts with skimpy outfits is another. Valve actually came out saying that was the reason why the leaked pre-alpha was so discouraging. People were making mods that put characters like Alyx in different clothes, or no cloths at all. So that was why the game took even longer to release.

On the plus side, the visual backgrounds and the music are definitely set apart from the actual HL2.

On the downside, the supposed "HD models" have absolutely no emotion in any part of their facial expressions what so ever. Especially the women models, whose only "improvements" seem to have been making them slutty, big boobed, and wearing clothing unfitting of the game's setting.

Thankfully, you can apparently get the version WITHOUT these models, so alls well.
