i think he yelled at her because she was going way too fast, also in the phrases before, and she wasn't together with the orchestra anymore. well, i would have given her an evil stare, but everybody has his own way...

@mortalfrog0815 Yet, strangely, at the yell, it is the orchestra that speeds up and not the other way around. IMHO, he's yelling that the orchestra :)

If Lang Lang was at the piano, I might ponder the remote possibility of the conductor yelling at the pianist (I would then dismiss it). But this is Yuja Wang!! Inconceivable. Not in this reality :)

This girl is not just a fabulous painist, she's also very beautiful. She may be considered one of the greatest pianists in the world but we must wait until her repertoire includes the Beethoven and Mozart concertos before she can be thus judged. For the moment, I don't think she can be bettered in the Russian repertoire. where she is superb. This performance of the Mendlesohn is stunning and augurs well for future performances of the German masters.

Several times, she glances at the conductor with smouldering eyes and barely suppressed emotive energy in her breast. If, just once, she was to glance at me in this way, I could die happily without hesitation. The passages of exquisite delicacy, which she performs with such genuine passion and love, contrast with her controlled aggression and ferocity in other parts, make this performance the most wonderful experience I could ever imagine. For me, she is the best ever.
