So I keep getting attacked by 20-30 ships at a time, what do I do?

@doodiebutton Yeah it's pretty hard. You have to setup a defensive position and slowly bait him into your turrets.

i ran out of coal and iron on my starting and i had there HQ to only 800HP left.... im fucked unless i leave my game sit and let the little bit of income trickle in and go with a level 3 AUX fleet from throne in another 2 hours...... -_____- *sigh*

My net is jacked at the moment so I cant watch all of this, but every time I have a fleet of 2 or more military ships, huge numbers of the patrol boats swarm my dock and destroy every ship I have, whats the deal?

@nationalmaverick Me too. Isn't that awesome? First time I tried Tycoons and built like 20 harbor turrets, it took the ships out..but he just built more. Then I ran out of Coal and so I had no power. Second time I went Eco, tried to just build a ton of commando ships real quick, didn't work either. Hell if I know!

@NevNiv Well todays patch seems to address the issue where you could only buy one battleship from Thorn, but about 20 minutes in they swarm me again when I had 2 turrets and 2 battleships and they managed to sink both ships before I they retreated.

@nationalmaverick I beat mine before the patch by heavily fortifying my ports with arrays of harbor defenses (one 4x4 block at each). I cranked out 4 Colossi, used the highest rank of Auxiliary Fleet from Thorne for 1 more Colossus, 2 Commandos and 2 Vipers then bought 1 more Colossus from Thorne. I just sent everything after his base and they barely defeated it.

@NevNiv Finally got all the vods up so you could see how I addressed this timing attack with only two ships and three turrets. It's a lot of ships but you only need to destroy about half of them before he will retreat. After that he sort of just pats around with those same ships and a couple more.

@TheTroublmaker You can't earn world event points by reloading a save before the end of the mission. However, you can beat the 2nd mission (worth 5 points) in about 1 minute legitimately so that's how the people with the most points have been earning them (the guys with 3000+ points). If you're interested in grinding out points like this I could tell you how but it gets really boring really quick.

@NevNiv If you run out of coal as Tycoon you get screwed, however you should be able to buy a coal probe from one of the vendors before this happens if you get enough licenses (should take only one quest). If you do this, you'll have plenty of time and resources to build up a massive fleet of Colossi (just add buying Heavy Weapons from Thorne to your trade route).

@Zalman1337 I just plain suck at this mission, ill have to try it again on the weekend. I' built two turrets and I had the 1 collossus and 3 commando ships, planned to attack soon and then he wiped me out lol, I am contemplating if i should try to do air

@NevNiv You should give Tycoon another shot. Use iron at all of your mine sites except one or two which you'd save for limestone to go towards concrete production. Start cranking out munitions as fast as you can and build a 4x4 defense array at your starting island. He will probably wipe out your commando ship and two trade ships before you finish that, but it's the last time he should be able to successfully attack you. Colonize an island with vegetables and put up another 4x4 array.

@NevNiv Once you set up your trade route so that you can get Tycoon Engineers (so that you can make Colossi) make sure that you add a stop to Thorne to continuously buy all his heavy weapons and offload them at your starting island. If you have one city center with the maximum number of houses you should be able to build 4 Colossi with some ship cap left over. Use the highest rank of Auxiliary Fleet from Thorne for 1 more Colossus, 2 Commandos and 2 Vipers. Buy more Colossi from Thorne.

PS it isn't your internet because it's happening for me too and I can surf everywhere else no problem. Only four minutes in..I think his strat is to build a ton of turrets and then get a few ships and whittle down the enemy...didn't work for me so he must do it better :P
