As much as I love the song, when people suggest songs like these for the game I think it's pretty unrealistic. I don't even like that they put The Roost in the animal crossing stage. It's a fighting game, so pretty slow songs like this don't work. You can remix it into something more suitable, but with this song, it would be pretty difficult.

It's a damn shame that NCL won't let them change EarthBound. There are songs in the game that sound too similar to real songs. Also, I loved that you used Ness' victory theme from the original.

Actually, Because I Love You is a remix of the Fourside theme, a lot slower and quieter. Plays when you escort Paula home or take her to yours.

And unknowingly,a boy sits at the computer watching this,while his Mother 2 game is playing this after beating the game for the 6th time. This is one of the most deserving songs to be in the game. But sadly,it is not.

I love this song so much. Honestly, listening to it makes me so happy. But, as nice as it would have been to have a new recording of it, it wouldn't have fit in Brawl. Neither would either of the Eight Melodies. The mood is completely wrong.

They probably could have put it in brawl, but not as music used when fighting. The music would probably be better as secret unlockable tracks that you could listen to.

They really ruined the Brawl song list. Bad remix only songs for Mother 3. Only old Earthbound songs. 1 pretty lame Mother song. No attention to Oracle of Seasons/Ages. They even ended it with 258 songs, leaving out some of the game's songs itself.

I'm almost certain the only reason there is any earthbound/mother content in this game is because of the popularity of the mother series in japan. Otherwise,we'd have other characters. (Thinks about shadow in brawl and shudders. Combats said thought with the thought of Ness and Lucas Roasting Reggie on a spit using PK Fire.)

If you notice, I beleive all of the masterpeices are up for Download with Wii points on Wii shop.

Since earthbound cannot be downloaded because it's not availiable for download, (Or from someone told me from NoA, Some copyrights are keeping it from being On Wii Shop. Same thing for Mother 3, and 1.) They didn't put it on.

Or they just hate Earthbound.

Many copyrights changed since mother 2 was released. That' the main reason.

I know this because when we called NoA that one time, an employee told me that "Due to the demand that the mother series has had recently, nintendo would be foolish to not release a series into america that would do nothing but benefit them. So in this case, Normally it's an outside company that's preventing the game or series into getting ported." At least that was his opinion.

I bet it's HAL preventing a port.

I think you guys are right about the tempo being the likely cause for it not being included. Another reason might be because this song was in Melee, remixed in the Fourside stage.

If it's in the SSBB code I wonder why they didn't added it to the game somehow, it's a great song. Sure, it may not be suited for a fight, but they could've added it like an easter egg or an achivement or something... or just make it a standard song in the song-gallery (or whatever it is called)

I actually turned those songs on My Music to very low. Its just that the pacing is wrong. I personally think that battle music should be more fast paced, and at least Ai no Uta has a somewhat faster beat.

This kind of music is something that'd I'd go to sleep to, not fight an epic battle.
