As a huge Rush and RHC fan I have to say,this is the dumbest question I have ever seen posed on YT.You might as well ask who is the better guitar player, Andrés Segovia or Van Halen. Look, they are both absolutely great but each play a totally different style. I think each can probably play everything the other plays, although Geddy really does not play a lot of slap and pop. First, I can tell that a few of you have never listened to Flea or Geddy except for this video, and should be disqualified for incompetence as pertaining to the subject matter. That being said, I like the playing of both, but Geddy wins for talent-level. Geddy plays catchy and complicated riffs in irregular time signatures and sings while playing. I think that some people find Flea's playing easier to listen to because of his funk-based style, and assume that he is better.

Geddy. Flea is really great, but he does not sing also.. and he himself admits that some of his riffs are simple, although nicely implemented, You also have to admit that Geddy changed the sound of Bass Guitar over 30 years and almost as many albums. The range of sounds and riffs is overwhelming when you really look at what Lee has done. Don't get me wrong... love RHCP and Flea/John particularly for their posts on Youtube... but Rush is Rush! Now if we talk about stage presence... well Flea Wins
