Hahaha, I got it to work on Windows! Basically, I used redsn0w 0.9.6re16 and plugged my iPod touch 4th generation into my Windows 7 based laptop and it connected, iTunes came up so I closed it. Then, I found my firmware (5.0 beta 1) and it just found the IPSW some how and it all worked. I'm not complaining! :-)
