  • You've got huge hands, man!

  • @wardrizzt Uh-huh there chief, i'd like to see your empirical evidence of Obama trying to ban all handguns, you stupid ass. Just because you watch to much one-sided media coverage or listen too much to your drunken, backwoods, toothless friends, it doesn't mean the moronic bullshit that you spout out is true. Try actually using some intelligence and looking up an issue yourself for once, do some research; find the facts. Or just continue being an ignorant moron, your choice Billy Bob.

  • Taurus made me proud to be a brazilian

  • @SladeForelly but most of the parts is manufactured at miami FL in city of hialeah

  • What do you mean about Obama you fat pussy

  • glock better

  • @bob1you0 (The) glock (is) better(.)

  • @supermansam565 i know thanks bro

  • very nice i own one and feild stripped it in 44.3 seconds thats from wen its all together to wen the barrle and everything is out then back together

  • The Taurus is not a practical gun to take a part. Nothing beats the Beretta M9 as far as ease and the Springfield and Glock are right behind. Try breaking down the Taurus while you are under fire to service it!! See it you don't drop that take down lever! You NEVER want any parts like that in a duty gun. Taurus made clones because of plans they found and because everyone else's copy right expired, and tried to compete. Taurus makes a quality piece but better suited for home defense than battle

  • @CorruptArsenal213 Taurus bought one of beretta's factories also the rights to the 92 and other designs so they are not clones. I am not a taurus owner, but they do have some nice looking pistols though. I own ruger, smith & wessson and AMT. My favorite is the ruger. I am not saying it is better than any other brand only I prefer useing it to other pistols that I have shot.

  • @hydrowatcher LOL bought? I hope you know Taurus did NOT buy the plans but happened in on them when Beretta rolled out of the plant. And by clones I mean any thing that is imitating an original. Taurus is in fact cloning the M9 and 92 series. Taurus is OK, it does well in its range however it is NOT at the level of a XD or M&P. Personally my Taurus never let me down but If it did it would have only been a day at the range, I would never trust one with my life

  • @ rugbyismysport - You obviously don't have a Springfield then, bc a Springfield is even easier then a Glock. Do your homework guy...

  • dont drop your gun!

  • Good vid I own as of today 2 Taurus's 1 Apt-840 and I just purchased a Pt-709 Slim I have had both guns less then 2 months I sold my Pt-92c yrs ago then I trade my pt-845 last month for the Pt-840 then I purchased my 709 slim (my conceald gun) The next gun I will Purchas wil be the Pt-740 Slim. Then my Glock 27 sub compact then the XD(M) Compact and my Walther P-380. Well anyway the TAURUS IS A FANTASTIC GUN I WOULD RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GOOD QUALITY GUN AT A REASONABLY GOOD $...

  • after reassembling my gun my clip does not seem flushed against the gun..there is a little spacing between the gun and the clip. how do i get my clip flushed against the body? the clip used to be flushed against it until i cleaned it. havent fired it since then but im afraid of jamming the gun due to that! can you help me with that?

  • Nice video - Thanks

  • Hey can you compare the recoil of that 40 cal to that of a 45 glock to be specific if youve shot one....?

  • Did you buy yours with packed grease, the one i got came that way?

  • No, just basic cleaning was needed.

  • Breaks down just like a Springfield XD, with the whole trigger pulling part

  • Just bought my new Taurus 24/7 PRO DS .40 absolutely love it might have to get one for my other hand at that price.

  • ei.. ive been reading all the post.. can someone give some comments on the new 800 series... also to the 24/7 series.. i really like to read some new post, comments, suggestions, and reaction...

photos and videos are really much appreciated.. thanks and more power

  • Could you show us how to clean the slide also, if that's convenient?

  • this should have been called taurus 24/7 40 cal disassembly or takedown. not review.

  • im debatting on wht to buy a glock 22 3rd generation or a taurus 24/7 40 cal ... im just a beginer and have a hard time to make my mind ..... wht do you think . this is what i wont to do .. a little bit of comp and steel shooting etc etc

  • All depends on your style. Personally I carry a .40 S&W Taurus 24/7 Pro DS as a primary sidearm over my Glock 17. Glock has alot of good features, but it's lack of safeties bothers me the most. Taurus has the best safety of it's kind through out all manufacturers. Not only can you get a trigger gaurd lock, but it has a built in lock on the slide to keep any of the mechanics from moving, along with the slide/trigger safety switch. If you need more information send me a message and I'll help you.

  • I've heard that glocks aren't that great. some people say they're really good, but i dont know. i'm only, like, 14 so i wouldn't know very well. I have heard glocks are incredibly reliable and often pretty accurate, but i've also heard they have terrible accuracy.

  • I heard that Glocks are decent on quality and on accuracy (decent to good). However, I do believe they are overpriced and the grip is uncomfortable and feels like one is holding a block of plastic.

Don't take my word for it though, feel them for yourself.

  • @americant87 I can buy Glocks for about 450.00

  • I'd get the taurus... looks cooler XD

  • I just bought my 24/7pro 40cal the other day, thanks for the vid it was helpful

  • There's no need to use a knife on the takedown pin ever.

Lock the slide, turn the pin down then release the slide. The pin will pop out 1/8 of an inch or so.

Then you can easily pull the pin out.

The Taurus instruction book explains it... but their explanation is vague.

  • What was the obama comment for?

  • that Godless s.o.b. is goin to try to take our guns away... why else

  • Hi your vids are really helpful. I just wonder how the taurus, especially pistols, are when compared to glock or springsfields, since my friends who has a kimber told me NOT to buy any from Taurus since they are not that quality. How do you PERSONALLY feel about the gun? I know it's cheap but the price does not always reflects the quality. Thanks

  • Carrying a weapon for self defense is a personal choice. If you are not 100% sure and comfortable with the weapon that you are carrying, than find one you are comfortable with.

I carry the PT145, a Taurus, 11 shot, 45 cal, mainly because of the "stopping" power. I have had my 145 for a while now, thousands of rounds and never a problem.

Glock and Springfield make very nice weapons. It all comes down with what you are comfortable with.

  • they both take down just like the keltec pf9 really easy to clean i love it

  • This "take down" is nothing like a Glock. Also, no gun is EASIER to take down than a Glock. I can take my g23 apart and put it back together blindfolded before one could take that gun apart?

  • My Grendel is easier to take down than a Glock so naaaaa!!!!

  • I find that having to hold those two pieces down while trying to take the upper off (on a Glock) is a pain.

Each person has an opinion. And yes, the Glock is fairly simple to dismantle and clean.

  • You only have to hold them to get the slide started.

  • @rugbyismysport I agree I have a glock 30 (45 compact) and the hardest part about taking a glock apart is making sure its clear

  • @rugbyismysport taurus pt 92 easier to take down that any gun u fold the latch down n pul., n its dissasembled

  • this take down is like my PT140, and the gun seems almost the same except for the dovetail mount. i'm not putting a flashlight or a stupid laser on it so i don't need that anyway. for under $400 it's been a great little gun but the short barrel compromises the accuracy a little. i don't need anything to remove that pin, it comes right out! strips in seconds! i also really love the Taurus lock for when i'm storing it

  • you really think this gun is easier to take down than the glock?

  • I do think the Taurus is a little easier because if the take down pin.

  • Is there a difference between the take down pin in the 24/7 and the pt111? I noticed you said you have to use a knife for the pt145 (which is the same or very similar to the pt111frame correct?) .... I ask because i do have minimal trouble occasionally with the pt111 and never any with my G-27, But i do have ALOT more experience taking down a glock and just recently began to shoot a 111

  • The pin on the 24/7 is a lot easier to take out. I can take the pin out if the 24/7 just using my fingers.

The PT145 just seems put in a little tighter. Maybe because the spring is a little shorter and tougher. I really don't know.

My sister has the PT145 and we have to use a knife to get the pin out of hers too.

The PT111 and PT145 should have almost the exact frame. The Spring in the PT145 should be a little stiffer because of the larger round and therefore more pressure

  • AWSOME VIDEO! I was on the fence about this gun and your video helped me make the decision to buy it. here in mi its pretty easy to get a ccw permit so this will be my carry gun!

  • I've had this gun for about 2 months and have put 3,000 rounds through it, I like it better than my glock now. It's a great gun and it gets cleaned after every trip to the range. Can't wait for open carry in Texas

  • Thanks for the feedback yeah i've never had a prob with mine either.

  • I have the 24/7 in the .45 cal. I just wanted to know approximately how often should i clean the gun/take down for maintanence. So far I would say that I have only put about 150 rounds in it since i have had it.(it seems very easy to break down and clean). Nice t-shirt by the way you work for them or what?

  • First, I do not work for Taurus. Just luck of the draw.. got new camera and off I went.

I clean mine more than needed. I clean mine after I shoot and once per week. Some say that is too often, but I have never had a problem with the gun.

The Gun is easy to take apart and clean, so I guess my answer would be what do you plan to use the gun for? If you plan to carry the gun for protect, then I would clean once per week, if not than as needed.

  • I just bought my 24/7 pro .40 cal. and I appreciate the informative video runman1271. Thanks. Obama does want our guns by the way as do all politicians who want power.

  • Are you saying that big 0 wants only the government and criminals to have access to guns?

  • Look , Obama is not gonna take your guns away ( I'm not sure why people keep saying that ). Time will tell if he was the better choice ( and i do think we are better off with the economy being the way it is ).

But enough of that , keep up the good work with the videos. I was thinking of buying a Taurus , as they seem to be well made guns.

  • Life time warranty, over 1000 rounds, never a problem with it

  • thanks , I'll keep that in mind
