folks! This B17 was rebuilt by SAAB in sweden as a skyliner for the swedish airlinecompany ABA.....was one of the first to fly the route to New York from Stockholm 1945 She got the reg : SE-BAP and were sold to danish airlines 1945

Let's hear it for the 56th Fighter Squadron! Led by such luminaries as Col. Gabresky and Zemke (both free Poles flying for freedom) they had the best kill ration in the entire ETO. And they did it all flying P-47's EXCLUSIVELY. CAVE TINTILARUM "Beware the Thunderbolt".
