While the movie that tied in with this movie was well...not that great. The creators of this series tried to make work harder on creating the American version of Godzilla that I think fans wanted. The series had it's own unique art form, awesome looking monsters, and gave the cast more personality, including Godzilla himself.

Of course that's my two cents.

The 80s and 90s had the best cartoons. In during the first 5~6 years of 21st century, they still had awesome shows like Justice League. But afterwards, since after mid-2000s, the cartoon became "kids-only" shows.

Legendary Pictures is bringing the Classic Godzilla to American theater's with an American Reboot coming 2014.... Atomic breath, fighting other monsters... exactly what the 1998 SHOULD have been.

Nah got pushed back, David Goyer was brought ion to rewrite the script.. He did Blade, The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, an Man of Steel... The director Gareth Edwards also confirmed Godzilla will attack Japan in the film, possibly before he comes to the U.S. leaving behind radiation.. So at-least there staying true to the character's roots this time.

Besides as long as it's a good film, i'd be happy to wait until then.

There was a great time in the late 90's when we had these dark, mature cartoon spinoffs of major movies like Godzilla, Men in Black, and Jumanji where the show was way better than the movies
