  • :) bowulf. cute name.

  • @baddmanaz Yep - it's been my long term nickname after my first dog (Bo) who looked just like a miniature Arctic Wolf.

  • yee hah goooooooooooooood

  • @1800tellmama Thanks!

  • Is that a Pride necklace?

  • @thespiswolf No, it's the remnants of all the energy drinks pop tops she's drank. Mr. T had gold chains, and my daughter has energy drink pop tops. :-)

  • What pita or wrap bread did you use?! Thumbs up !

  • @JimmyGunXD556 Flatout Light Wraps...

  • Hi I'm from the UK. What kind of meat is ground chuck?

  • @ebony66pink it's ground beef from the chuck roast area (shoulder).

  • I expected your daughter to be 8 or 9. Wow! Just how old are you?!! J/K! Don't answer that. Great job! Can't wait to try this and others. Thanks to you all I am very motivated to stick with this... The great recipes!!!

  • @brandiewine29 That's the beauty of the magic fountain of youth of Atkins. :-) Thanks for watching!

  • Hi. I enjoyed the video. Looks Great!

  • @ChaChaDave I am glad you liked this recipe. It is definitely a winner of a recipe!

  • Yum. I'm going to make this, but substitute blue cheese for the cheddar, and then fry them in a pan. (Alas, it is winter, and I don't have a grill anyway). Thanks!

  • wow that's your daughter? you don't look old enough to have a kid that old! I thought maybe you had little kids.

  • @stanleynorbay Thanks - I blame or credit it to good living and a good diet. :-D

  • Your daughter did an awesome job! This looks delicious, and I'm going to try it soon. Thanks for sharing, and hope to see you both in cooking vids soon. God bless!

  • @TobyMcfarland She already has planned her next recipe video -- low carb garlic cheese biscuits like Red Lobster serves. It'll probably be filmed next week as part of the November Thanksgiving series of recipe videos. Thanks for watching!

  • Didn't think you were old enough to have a daughter her age :) she did a great job!!

I look foward to seeing more of her...Hope you don't plan on retireing...I would miss your videos! Thanks for your videos

  • @angelhrt1952 No danger of me going away - just perhaps more likelihood of her asking for more airtime in the future. :-)

As for a daughter her age, it's hard to believe my eldest is just over a year from making college decisions. I definitely don't try to let my age (38) affect though my life or my actions.

  • What a great job she did!

But next time give her a bigger mixing bowl...LOL!

Kent-I think you are going to be replaced soon.

  • @okmama Yeah, my kitchen tools are definitely not up to any type of standard. I have to give myself an out if something doesn't turn out, so I can blame the equipment.

Given the number of likes on this video vs. my normal one, I think you are right... In the back of my head, I have Darth Vader saying "I was once the apprentice, and you were the master. Now I am the master." Cue dark Star Wars Empire music. :-D

  • @bowulf

Kent , I would picture your kitchen as having every size bowl and plate and pot and pan. I guess you prove it doesn't take a lot of fancy equipment to create a great dish!

  • @okmama It's perhaps embarrassing to realize how many of my current cooking utensils date back to Laura and my wedding gifts 20 years ago. I know the knives, cookie sheets, and pizza pans are from my wedding.

About the only thing I replace routinely or tossed all the old ones are the pots and pans. I replaced our old warped copper bottom set with a high quality set and really enjoy them. Shoot, I never had ramekin cups until right before my creme brulee recipe. :-)

  • @bowulf

I sent you a pm at the ADBB.

  • Looks delicious! Would like to see some more spots with your sweet daughter. Might have to give it a go with some ground turkey :) Thanks for posting!! ~Vanessa

  • @vrhodes1982 It'd be just the thing to liven up ground turkey burgers. I am glad you like the daughter's role -- she's already planning her new theme song. :-)

  • @bowulf Is your daughter also a practitioner of the Atkins diet? If so, how much weight did she lose on the diet.

  • @alphacause She has lost 30 pounds, but not by doing strict Atkins. My philosophy with my kids at least is to be a role model, advise them IF ASKED what is healthy or why something is not, and let them choose with some regard. I am not going to force my decisions on them, but I help them make the right decisions.

She lost her weight primarily with being cognizant of what she ate, taking up running or consistent exercising, and probably grazing (mindless eating) less.

  • I was thinking, "THATS WHAT SHE SAID!!" @ 2:35 !

  • Looks like a great recipe that I will want to try! And you have a lovely daughter Kent. She did a great job!

  • @lowcarbkitchen I will definitely pass that along to her. She is pretty pleased with the result, and already is planning what her next low carb recipe will be.

  • I am going to try this soon. Your daughter did a good job. She appears to be likeable. :)

  • @HelenaVenom Yeah with 53 likes right now, she made the comment today that may take over my job soon enough. I told her she first had to take over answering the teenage girl comments or questions first. :-D

  • Very nice job! Burgers look delicious!

  • @Robind0514 Thanks!

  • She looks like her daddy. And she did a fantastic job! What a natural!

  • She did a great job. I am glad she talked about over working the mix.

  • @carr964 Thanks! I had other family members that always used to overwork the meat, so I made sure she mentioned it.

  • im gong to try this! good job!

  • @iamfirelust Thanks! I will pass it along to her.

  • looks yummy!!!

  • @Tsayuga Thanks for watching!

  • This really looks good.

  • @trudy2311 Thank you! I had an excellent cook helping me today.

  • I like your recipe, I have found that using a fork to mix and combine works better and you are not squashing all the fat and meat together (kind what you said about over working) but the fork method leaves out the overworking altogether. Not knocking, I just think they turn out a little more fluffy. Your video looks yummy!

  • @gerald2003r I'll have to try that. Usually the by hand method is in response to past family members using things like mixers or gasp food processors to do the job, which always left the beef over-worked. I have never tried a fork though.

  • More Tasha please :)

  • @chickenrotini I will try to find another recipe for her to do in the coming weeks. I am sure she'll appreciate the sentiment though.

  • i love the video great job:) but i have a stupid question haha what is chuck????????????

  • @ontgal7777 Regular ground beef can come from any part of the cow. Ground chuck is ground beef that only comes from the chuck roast portion, i.e. shoulder and neck area of the cow. It is usually more fatty and consequently has more flavor than other ground beef.

  • @bowulf Ground beef will be more fatty but you get several cuts of left over meats from the days cuttings which could make it more flavorful. It's a gamble as to what you are getting with this choice. Chuck is as you say but less fat by nature.

  • @gerald2003r It depends. Ground beef can vary widely depending on labeling and can be either be really fatty or really lean at least according to the USDA. You can have up to 96 or 97% lean ground beef, but you lose a lot of the beef flavor.

Of course the best way is to grind your own, but cleaning the mess afterwords is a bit intimidating. You would eliminated a lot of the potential e-coli problems though.

  • great job!! She is a natural Kent, give that young lady a camera! : )

  • @lowcarb360 Oh trust me, she borrows mine often and has made numerous videos... She like most teen age girls love the attention.

  • lol i was ganna say gah he is robbing the cradle much ? great video and thanx now I know what I will make over the weekend. =) great job!

  • @kittyasuka These are quite delicious, and while normal hamburgers with salt and pepper are good, these take the cake.

  • Great job Tasha, you're a natural. Kent your wife is gorgeous! Thanks for the recipe...those looked great.! :)

  • @lakegirl645 Psst... that's not my wife, but my 16 year old daughter. You can see photos of my wife in my success story (first) video -- who also is gorgeous. You can tell who my daughter takes after.

  • @bowulf ... LOL thats too funny...Guys give me problems when I am out with my 19 year old daughter. Think I'm robbing the cradle too...lol

Great video, I am going to try those as well this weekend.

  • @kyadak Ahh the joys of fatherhood of teenage daughters... I will have three in my household in less than a year. Yikes! They just do not stop growing or getting older.

  • @bowulf LOL I have three daughters as well but only two are teens... God bless us both...lol

  • @lakegirl645

    Daughter ;)
