Jim Otto, number 1, no doubt. Snake, then Plunkett....Marcus Allen, then touchdown Timmy Brown! No other professional team has had such a group of rascals the can play the game. And that's why you either hate or love the Raiders. The Autumn Wind is a pirate...
I'd put Gannon up there. Before he got there, the Ray-duhs were a joke. He restored a LOT of credibility to the franchise. Jerry Rice even compared him to Steve Young and John Elway.
@Jave3193 my thoughts exactly! that's messed up. when i think of the raiders the first 3 guys who come to mind are al davis, john madden and jim otto.
@Coganboy Yeah Ted is awsome. When you think Raiders of the late '70s and early '80s, most people think of Ted Hendricks. My opinion, Ted should be in the top 5, ahead of Plunkett and Allen.
Howie Long belongs at number 2 on this list. If not for Jim Otto, Gene Upshaw and Art Shell, Howie Long would be at the top of this list. Howie Long was a great Raider. He was drafted by the Raiders, played so well with the Raiders, made all of those Pro Bowls which made him a Raider, Howie Long should be at number 2, no questions asked.
UH..... Ok, I'm beyond stunned. I love Upshaw and Shell at one, but still, Al Davis is the number one Raider of all time. There is no way around it. They did Top Ten Cowboys and Landry was number one, so the same should apply to Al Davis.
"Fuck Howie Long"...ahahahahah

Ted Hendricks should be on the list. He played almost a decade for the Raiders and led the team to 3 Super Bowls.
8:38 Howie is not a two time Super Bowl champion, he got drafted in '81. He was only on one Super Bowl Team.
My personal favorite football player of all time is the late great, Lyle Alzado. Nice to see Lyle on the best of the rest.
TheMotleyFuckingCrue 10 months ago
@TheMotleyFuckingCrue Ted Hendricks is number one on my list personally.
A freak of nature and the Raiders are the freak team of the NFL (meant as a compliment)
A Hall of Famer on all three Super Bowl teams.
Can do a bit of everything (Raiders pride themselves on being multi-dimensional)
One odd duck and character (Raiders have been the odd duck of the NFL since inception)
And physically tough (Raiders are just tough all over)

@tombrady772 He's known more for being a 49er, not a Raiders.

Howie Long is a two-time SB champ? I don't think so. I know he was with the 83 team but that's it.
Silly81 1 year ago
@Silly81 You're right. Howie was drafted in 1981. He won one Super Bowl with them. I'm still stunned that Hendricks isn't in the top 3.
