A Coarctation of the aorta is a narrowing of the aorta. I visit a cardiologist every year or two to keep a check on my condition with this. I have not yet needed surgery for it, instead, I am taking blood pressure medication which controls my blood pressure and keeps it low so that the narrowing is not under too much stress. I do worry about the day I might need surgery. I think this heart condition is probably scariest aspect of TS.

I'm also very concerned about heart issues. I've heard about girls in their teens needing open heart surgery! It's so scary!!
