  • hi there! i'm an aspiring pilot and i'm currently studying at de la salle-college st. benilde taking up bs-hrim. i am planing to take aviation at clark after i graduate, it's always been my dream but i'm curious if my present degree will be ok or somewhat applicable for taking aviation

  • sir since im a philippine national ... is it possible that other airlines ouside the country would hire me or something like that ?

  • @adrian1741 : Lets take this discussion outside the comments section :) Check your messages

  • So sir simply put right after my training i will be working already with the airline that sponsored me ?

  • @adrian1741: Yes that is correct. However getting a sponsorship depends on the willingness of the ailrine to do so. That depends on your nationality.

  • good day sir, do the sponsored airlines will absorb you right after your base training with them ? im about to enroll also to clark with the MPL program. I was kinda wondering about the hiring opportunity right after the training.

  • @adrian1741

Good day! MPL programme in clark is only possible through an airline sponsor. So technically they should hire you first!

  • Nice, did you pay for the TR, or did you get sponsored?

  • @gt5004life Well technically this is not a standalone TR as it is part of the MPL programme. 70 hrs of single engine flying followed by 190 hrs of SIM training. ending with 12 take off landings on the actual aircraft. For your question...MPL training has to be done in conjuction with an airline partner. However in my case being a foreign national at Philippines i had to shell out the training cost.

  • @ftva320 Owh yeah, I read about MPL, it's pretty new right? Anyway, do you have to find a partner airline yourself, or did Clark Aviation help you with that? Cheers!

  • @gt5004life MPL is pretty new to the industry yes...but many of my classmates are already flying with Cebu Pacific. (More than 30 of them in their various stages of IOE). For us YES there are a few airlines in the pipeline and the school is the one that is arranging for everything. Base training was the hurdle till now as it was technically difficult to find an airline/regulatory authority willing to allow us MPL cadets to fly the A320 with only an SPL.

  • (unlike the traditional CPL way we dont get a PPL. From SPL we jump direct to MPL. Even our A320 SIM check is done on the SPL) Hence it took a while to sort out these issues. Now waiting for my license to be processed. Once license is available and the partner airline gives dates we will be proceeding there. However at this moment i cannot name that airline in public for obvious reasons! But YES Clark Aviation is the one that is arranging for the partner airline.
