In my opinion, Wind Waker was the greatest technical achievement in gaming of that time. To produce advanced cel-shaded graphics while still maintaining an entertaining story, fluid and highly responsive controls, and some of the best music in its series only a year from the GameCube's release is pretty amazing. Twilight Princess did have a more advanced graphics engine, but it was released at the end of the GameCube's life.

I loved this game and found the graphics to be beautiful. Of course, I never even played it until after I got Twilight Princess, but still, the N64 could never do what Wind Waker did.

@HabboManson92 Agreed on the triforce part, it was a veiled attempt to make you go out and explore the world instead of railroad you but it was just implemented poorly. It's a notch against WW and I'll acknowledge that, but the whole of TP was awful, mundane and flat out boring with drab colors, uneventful music, and it being to scared to keep Zant as the villain and forced Ganon to once again return. There were a million things wrong with it that I hope is fixed by the release of SS.
As much as I love this game, this was one of the biggest WTF moments in the history of gaming. When I first saw it I was pissed off beyond belief. Good thing the game delivered.

Supposedly, in TLoZ OoT, when Zelda sent link back in time, the story line became a split story line, one based on the adult version of link and another one based in the child version of Link.
Wind Waker was awesome. I can't remember my initial reaction to this trailer, but I don't think it was negative. I guess I was just a little more apathetic, meaning I really didn't care much. It still looked fun and still looked like Zelda and I rented it as soon as it came out and played it to death. I was probably one of the few people who didn't rant and flame all over the internet. Then again, I was only 10 at the time and didn't use the internet much then.

The plot in TP was darker than any Zelda game has a right to be? Hardly.......Majora's Mask surpasses it in every aspect of darkness, and that game is praised to hell in back.
Windwaker's dungeons and bosses were painfully easy....the fetch quest was even worse in Windwaker than in TP. Hyrule Field may have been empty, but it damn sure beats sailing any day of the week. but Im not gonna comment further. Ill just see what people say after SS releases.

@bptboy2 Thing is while the plot of MM was dark, it was kept afloat with cheerful characters and gimmicks that kept the tone light hearted in mostly every fashion. It was a mix of dark with light, not afraid to use bright colors and keep things uplifting.
And sailing is far better, just sayin bro, so many islands to explore, secrets to find treasures to get, bonus minibosses to find, it was interesting and unique. TP was just plains. That's all

@ThisIsACoolGuy make it look harder was hiding some stupid maps.. that needed to be translated where you needed enough rupees for, to finally collect some hidden pieces of the triforce, serriously there was no fun about that, at all! thats why TP wins from WW in my opinion but surely both werent at the top.. still cant decide between majoras mask and OOT.. maybe even alttp

@HabboManson92 Agreed on the triforce part, it was a veiled attempt to make you go out and explore the world instead of railroad you but it was just implemented poorly. It's a notch against WW and I'll acknowledge that, but the whole of TP was awful, mundane and flat out boring with drab colors, uneventful music, and it being to scared to keep Zant as the villain and forced Ganon to once again return. There were a million things wrong with it that I hope is fixed by the release of SS.

As much as I love this game, this was one of the biggest WTF moments in the history of gaming. When I first saw it I was pissed off beyond belief. Good thing the game delivered.

Do you guys know that every zelda game after Ocarina of time is part of the Ocarina of time universe?
Supposedly, in TLoZ OoT, when Zelda sent link back in time, the story line became a split story line, one based on the adult version of link and another one based in the child version of Link.

Wind Waker was awesome. I can't remember my initial reaction to this trailer, but I don't think it was negative. I guess I was just a little more apathetic, meaning I really didn't care much. It still looked fun and still looked like Zelda and I rented it as soon as it came out and played it to death. I was probably one of the few people who didn't rant and flame all over the internet. Then again, I was only 10 at the time and didn't use the internet much then.

I'm still waiting for a Third Installment to the Ocarina / Majora's Mask Universe, but I have to admit, a console based Sequel to Wind Waker would be awesome as well. I loved the Re-Dead Scream in Wind Waker. P.S. Twilight Princess was crap.
