Tibet has been under Chinese rule since the Qing Dynasty, which is 17th century.
And how will Tibet sruvvie as an independent nation? Tibet has always been a poorly developed and backwards region. Tibet has no infrastructure, no military, no food source, no economies except tourism which China spent billions to build up in the last 4 decades.
People speak of Free Tibet, and yet they don't realize that Tibet simply can't survive as an independent state without Chinese rule.

Tibet has been under Chinese rule since the 17th century, this is a fact. Just because China had a new communist dynasty in 1949 does not indicate that Tibet had independence.
Tibet only has its current flourishing tourism business because CCP has pumped in billions of dollars in creating its infrastructure. The first ever trans-continental railway funded by the Chinese reaching Tibet was only built 4 years ago. Before then there was no mass-transportation system linking Tibet whatosever.

And I can tell you that the Chinese investments have done wonders to that place, and improved the lives of the Tibetans on an immeasurable scale.
