We were at the Causeway the first night, then we hit Spacewalk Park on th launch morning. Awesome site. We didn't leave it till it was not viewable anymore.
I went up to see it on the night it was scrubbed. Couldnt do it another night. I was shocked to see so many people with there families dotted along the beach at that time of the morning. Great Video.
Awesome vid! I have a video of the launch on my page shot from Virginia!...It's a crappy video (the shuttle is only a dot) but I think it's amazing that we could see it from central Va.
It only took six minutes from launch for the shuttle to travel up the eastern seaboard...that is amazing ingenuity.
I was privileged enough to have been at the causeway 6 miles from the launch site. Greatest experience of my life! Words can't even say how amazing this was to see.
Probably the coolest thing you could see on this planet!

Nice - I like the reflection on the water.
I shot this launch from due north of the pad, where it actually comes closer to you before heading away. It was awesome!

I posted mine, from the causeway. Cheap camera, the audio was the best part.

Nice video! I just posted mine as well, I was a tad closer, and more zoomed in, but you get to see a lot more/longer from yours.

One minute it's pitch darkness... the next it's almost like daylight. Great video.

Nice Video. Was this taken from Spaceview Park? I posted a vid as well. Looks like you were further north than I was. This was an amazing experience!
