91-94 were the best years for rap. Overall I'd say 91 through 96 were the golden age, possibly even 90. It saw a rapid decline after 96 though but 96-2000 is still MUCH better then the shit than its successors after 2000.
Yeah that whole time period was great. I miss those laid back beats and mellow style they used to do. Anything after 2000 makes me want to rip my eardrums out.
@Nunyabizniz2000 lol i feel the same way but this Commercial Bubble Gum rap will soon be destroyed and real hiphop/rap with soon return bro! REAL HIP HOP 4EVER!!
Oh hell ya I can still remember the van vibrating from this (77 Dodge midsized, side pipes, 318 with 340 heads, 2 15s under the rear 'bed' keeping it gansta)
Classic album used to have this on cassette back in the day.. What happened to shit like this..Don't even listen to rap anymore cuz of all the BS thats out now!
***This LP was properly titled..."Stunt's,Blunt's and HIP HOP"....And just like the first single-it was the "Best Kept Secret"...(ORIG.)D.I.T.C.-R.I.P.... PHILLY STAND UP !!!

I'm generally into rock/metal, but this is actually very tasteful. It's the modern rap/R&B that has no value.
