i'm from massachusetts, gay, liberal & a democrat. when romney ran for governor i voted for him. his faith didn't enter into my decision. if it was on anyone's radar, i didn't hear it

the guy was a decent governor & far from a failure. he was competent, able & respected by most everyone here.

yet, for me, when his sect spent $40 million to defeat prop 8, i became anti mormon cause they brazenly helped to deny constitutionally guaranteed rights to people they don't like!

His restoration theology predates and is identical to Mormonism. Joseph Smith stole ideas from many sources, including the Masonic rites. Mormons wear Masonic looking clothes, make oaths, use secret names and handshakes in the temples. Do not be duped. Mormons believe they will become Gods, "that was Satans mistake"

LDS people are not bigots, and never have been. When the genocide against the Native American was happening, it was Mormons, who stood bravely against this massive evil against the indigenous populations. The only good Indian was a dead Indian, was countered by the Mormons who said better to feed then to fight.

@jerrydoubleu You asked a direct question I will give you a direct answer. Recently, a survey was done, comparing various colleges, including BYU and SMU. At BYU the amount of premarital sex was about 2 %.  At SMU it was also 2%. This was in 1950. At BYU today it is still 2%. At SMU premarital adulterous sex is over 40% and the trend is rising. At BYU, the rate stays the same. So you wanted a reason why it would be good for minorities to become Mormon? Two letters. V.D.

@jerrydoubleu Sorry. Should have written more clear. The comparison is premarital sex in the 1950's at religious college campuses & now. At BYU it is the same, while at other Colleges, for example SMU, it has risen from 2% to over 40%. At BYU it was 2% (in 1950) now it is 2%.

This survey therefor simply confirms what everyone knows. If you have a venereal disease, or are thinking of getting one, then this information might be useful.

Therefore if a person converts there is an advantage

Since Mormons tend to have less premarital sex or extra-marital sex, then it would stand to reason that Mormons have more married sex, since Mormons are more often married than other religious groups.
