I received the Commander's Citation, The Defense of Liberty Award and the NYS Military all from serving two tours of active duty in the wake of 9/11. The people that died n 9/11 deserve the awards, not me. I was just another Soldier doing his duty.

I was in the VDF in 2003 during Isabell. I ran the EOC at the NG armory in Onancock. During that time the NG was deployed and could only muster about 6 troops. The VDF had over 25. The VDF operated with the NG and even managed to repair the guards generators that quit during the storm. The NG was really appreciative and led to a great relationship with them. Today I live in Alabama and it seems that this state could really benefit if they TAG would only try to work with them.
