i just ordered a gopher yesterday and all that games i have right now for the SD card are VLC files.can this device play that file format or do i need to find a diffraction ROM website

I want to get one of these. Sega had some real cool games on the Genesis back in the day. It sure as hell would be awesome to play this while on the road.

please can some one help! i cant seem to get it to work on my tv! my tv is the same as the one in the video...lg 50inch plasma. i put the av cable in the av socket on tv and nothing happens???

@zannebrain my bud says its usb....so u can charge it off of a computer or if u have a plug that can fit a usb cord....so i geuss no problem

Unless you want to use it for your TV too you're probably better off running the Genesis emulator on the PSP since the emulation is better.

I loaded a 32x game but it would not load. My system also suffers from the Firecore problem of not saving games =( sorry, no Phantasy Stars on this thing.

Oh, and one more thing.. While it won't play PAL only games, with a rolling picture on the LCD, play it on a TV, it'll play fine.. IF it doesn't play fine with a PAL game on TV, let me know, because mine does this just fine, and I wonder if they released 2 versions of the Gopher, but yours look exactly like mine on the back, same revision.

Evildragon here.. I think, just a thought, because you used FAT32, maybe it can't create folders because it's FAT32.. I formatted my card as FAT16 (2GB card) and it was able to create a folder for me..

Oh, lucky you! Your TV is PAL compatible.. These Gophers don't output NTSC, only PAL, that's why the colors look better.. My 40" 1080p LCD doesn't accept PAL, and so I just get a black and white picture.
