The Genious of MT , who rewrote history , legend and fact and the mastery of Hariharan who brough the 2nd perspective on the myth of Chandu Chekavar. I feel pity for those who do not understand Malayalam and or who havent seen this movie , they have missed one of the greatest expression of the cinematic art form. This movie is an alltime classic and deserves its place with the Pather Panchali by Satyajit Ray , The seven samurai by Akiro Kurosawa , and the works of Hitchcock et al.A Masterpiece.

still i dont know if it is a spontaneous acting or with a lot of home work it s difficult to portray bad character as a good one maooakka acted AS CHANDHU such a way that any one could think the stories about CHADHIYAN CHANDHU IS UTTERLY LIE.this must hav been selected for OSCAR AWARD.not only mammokka ,balan nair captain raju sureshgopi madhavi geetha chitra all of them made this a real and STUPENDOUS KAAVIYAM

Oru vadakkan veeragadha...should be a classic of world cinema, not just indian or malayalam cinema; masterpieces like this have not come out of any other indian movie industry

unfortunately and sadly, malayalam movies dont get the recognition it deserves even in india :(

in fact, pazhassiraja shud have been taken in a much much bigger way, like those hollywood epic movies, there was a scope for that, but it turned out to be a normal movie. it didnt live to the expectations

where as VV was a classic, because of so many factors like the fantastic script, dialogs, cinematography, lighting etc. and above all, mammotty's acting. in pazhassiraja, even mammootty was just like any other actor, not so standing-out
