Ryan Smyth has done quit a bit for th Avs this year 45GP 14G 19A 33Pts and his job is to be a grinding winger who specializes on the powerplay, Ryan is one of the hardest working player in the NHL and he is a great guy so it's sad to see that happen to him. True Smyth hasn't had the best season, but he is still a valuable put of the Avalanche organization. Don't forget that he missed quite a bit of time with a broken ankle. with out these injuries, Smyth would be even more productive. Remember how well his line was doing. Smyth, Hejduk, and Stastny make a great line and for the most part have been the most consistent line the avalanche have. so to say Smyth has done nothing is a big understatement.

stfu one of your players had the same exact hit on frolov in the same exact spot. But he did not get hurt, this was an accident. even some of the avs players were saying it was not dirty.

man i dont like jack johnson but that was a clean hit it was only bad because of where it took place..........if that was on the other side of the rink that would have been a clean hit and smyth would have gotten up no problem.......and all you avs fans why don't you all accept the fact that ryan smyth has done nothing for your team this year and he was a waste of money for your organization! Bullshit. Ryan Smyth has done quit a bit for th Avs this year 45GP 14G 19A 33Pts and his job is to be a grinding winger who specializes on the powerplay, Ryan is one of the hardest working player in the NHL and he is a great guy so it's sad to see that happen to him. But don't go out saying that he has done nothing this year and is a waste of money, while he's done damn well for Colorado. It's not the truth, its your opinion, you can think that but it doesn't make you right.

True Smyth hasn't had the best season, but he is still a valuable put of the Avalanche organization. Don't forget that he missed quite a bit of time with a broken ankle. with out these injuries, Smyth would be even more productive. Remember how well his line was doing. Smyth, Hejduk, and Stastny make a great line and for the most part have been the most consistent line the avalanche have. so to say Smyth has done nothing is a big understatement.

Do you even know who that team Canada player was? It was Steve Downie, yeah he is a real saint! Yes, Johnson's elbow on Downie in the juniors was dirty but I don't think anyone that has watched Steve Downie play feels sorry for him anymore. Just ask any Senator fans how they feel about Downie's hit on McAmmond or ask a Leafs fan how they feel about Downie's cheap punch to the eye of Jason Blake when the linesman were seperating the 2 players.
