Former U.S. Army here. Got out just before 'Nam heated up. If it weren't for religion & politics we would all get along just fine. Why would any of us, or them, want to kill someone they didn't even know just because some politician decided to call someone an enemy. I was a Grunt with Echo Company 2/3 Marines in 1969, then with Golf Company 2/7 Marines in 1970. I would like to thank all the Grunts serving our country today. You make us proud.

I often think of my time spent in Iraq and realize there is not comparison between the years I spent there and the suffering these men went through. I see my scares daily as a result of my injuries but know I am much better off than any of these men. I see this and can only wonder who made it home... I lost only a few who served with me, but never faced it daily... be blessed
