  • These young men typify those who have always answered the call. My Dad was a paratrooper in WWII, I was with CAP Marine in Vietnam 67-68. And now, my son is an US Army MP currently serving in Afghanistan. It's much tougher being the old dad praying for his son than to be the young warrior in Harm's Way. John 3:16

    CAP B-3, 1st MarDiv 1967-68

  • God bless you all. Excellent video and Semper Fi. My late brother was at Hue City there in early 1968 and I joined up later in 1978. Served as a grunt for 8 yrs and also in the Drill field at P.I. God bless all "0311's"

    Carry on

  • Former U.S. Army here. Got out just before 'Nam heated up. If it weren't for religion & politics we would all get along just fine. Why would any of us, or them, want to kill someone they didn't even know just because some politician decided to call someone an enemy. Still, God Bless our Troops, no matter what and if there's some A.H. on here who disagrees....STUFF IT!!

  • I WAS 2/3 ECHO KHE SAHN VALLEY 1967 HILL 861 AND 881S SEMPER FI

  • americans always think they are right even when they are wrong what did the vietnamese people ever do to them to deseve their homes to be napalmed your attitude would change if US suburbs were obliterated and your relatives were incinerated and your girls raped then killed america has a lot to answer for

  • I was with Echo 3/11 at An Hoa 69-70! Your video brought back a ton of memories and I thought of all those young men, myself included! The ABBA song really added to the video. Thanks. Semper Fi, my brothers!

  • I often think of my time spent in Iraq and realize there is not comparison between the years I spent there and the suffering these men went through. I see my scares daily as a result of my injuries but know I am much better off than any of these men. I see this and can only wonder who made it home... I lost only a few who served with me, but never faced it daily... be blessed

  • A moving video, well done.

  • Great pictures and video. Thanks to all our servicemen in Vietnam. We are very grateful.

  • So many deaths and all for a failed war. We the people need to rid our government and start over. The government is ruining us.

  • @tennes2465 Why don't people like you get it about Vietnam. The communist were the bad guys, not us. Your type of thinking allowed them to win.

  • @yoyoofloco

Now wait just a second, communism ain't that bad in theory, sure it might not be perfect for everyone but it ain't something evil. But there was and still is evil people using communism (just like religion and democracy) to gain power and money. There really is no bad guys or good guys because there are evil in all countries and armies.

  • I still cry to this very day for the sacrifice of my generation of young men for a country that was not even worth the life of one young American. I fought right along with them the only way I could. S/F my Heros
