yeah i just starting playing bass, picking it up pretty quickly but sometimes when i pluck a string it vibrates on one of the frets.. is it me or is it my guitar? just asking someone who is good at bass :)

Press the string with significative strenth, if it stills buzzes, then its the bass... press fret by fret, string by string to see if you can locate the exact fret where its buzzing, you may adjust the bridge a little for stoping it, screw it was up, that way it may stop... what bass you have?

To be honest I dont use tabs, I find them difficult, I play by ear, so I cant help you with that, but take a look at 911tabs(dot)com maybe there.

Yes, those basses are mine and the red one is a Rickenbacker 4003.

Save some money and start with something basic, a cheap one, second handed or something like that. You wont regreat and never is late for learning it.

Not teally, it depends on the song and the speed of it. Pick produces a very particular sound, so in some songs it works and in other it just simply doesnt fits.
