The basic 4 piece I started with was around $1400 off Ebay (12,16, 22 and snare). I have added all the other pieces over the years so I don't really know the total.
I like the shallower depths as well, except for the bass drum. 17deep is as shallow as I like to go on a bass drum (for sound reasons as well as the look of it all). I have a 15x13 that matches this kit and I have been looking for an 18x14 to go with it to use with this kit. I am a huge fan of the bigger drums and the sound they produce. I think you would like the sound the shorter toms produce as well.
Killer Solo Groove, I was hoping you could help shed some light on the sizes you have, would you buy the same 9x13,16x16,16x18 over again or would you go with shallower depths? like a 14x16 verses the 16x16" and a 16x24 verses the 18x24"? None of the music stores within a hundred miles from here have my sizes 24,13,16 and 18" and I'am reluctant to order them blind...Can you help?
