  • It wasnt fergie who ruined them..it was fame. they did the song with justin timberlake and started to get famous and slowly sold themselves for more fame

  • Fergie ruined these wonderful artists, and helped bring down music as a whole. Plus she's like seven feet tall, butt ass ugly, can't sing... FUCK FERGIE

  • They sound so much The Pharcyde

  • @markus122piesuckers There is a remix of their Joints & Jam song that has a Pharcyde beat collabed with the lyrics, you should check it out. Proves your point in a way :P

  • I was just about to say why do black eyed peas suck ass now?

    This is way better xD.

  • Why does BEP suck so fucking bad now?

  • this is better than the shit black eyed peas could come up with

  • качает!!!)))

  • BEP is better

  • They cooulda' done without the white guy in this song... he sux

  • @rush1er yo motha fucka stop beeing so Raceist you motha fuckin bitch i'm gonna smash yo ass

  • @bigsha93 I'm sorry, lemme rephrase that politically correct... the Hip Hop musician who lacks the most in skin pigmintation is rather lacking in lyrical delivery... Is that better? you big dumb n!gger.

  • @bigsha93 I'm sorry, lemme rephrase that politically correct... the Hip Hop musician who lacks the most in skin pigmintation is rather sub-standard in lyrical delivery... Is that better? you big dumb n!gger.

  • @bigsha93 i'm not a Nigga you fat ass Raceist bitch i'm White ya Bitch so go suck your dad's dick and stfu let me translate it to ya becouse your a Retard STFU -Shut the fuck up Gaylord

  • Damn, Apl.de.ap flow is sick on this track. Why am I now listening to this classic? Shit-Hop got this industry on lock....we need to wake up before good music like this never sees the light of day. That being said in my opinion....as much as I like this, it could have been better. The real reason this album got shelved is because of Easy-E's death. There were worst groups out then....like Insane Clown Posse to mention one.

  • LYRICS???

  • What the FUCK happened...

  • apl.de.ap is great rapper

  • WHAT. THE. F**K. HAPPENED. TO. THESE. GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Strange how this one song totally KILLS anything the Black Eyed Peas (as they are called now) has produced in the last 12 years! (And don't ANYONE mention "Where is the love"... that was the song that KILLED the BEP's as a creative outfit and set them on the (extremely lucrative) road of mainstream conformity! Not begrudging their success at all, but listening to this just shows how far hip hop has fallen in the last 15 years.
  • @ChaosCat79 ...I feel you, but you gotta understand that BEP is probably the biggest group in the world. No matter how corny I personally think their music is, that is a hell of an accomplishment...That said, lets be real nostalgia aside, this sucks. This sounds like some fake ass pharcyde shit. No wonder they got shelved and dropped....the late-90s era of BEP was when they were at their creative best. Joints n Jams. Thats when Will I.Am started developing confidence. They were lost here....

  • flipgood89

I agree on your point about them being one of the biggest groups, at least they fully sold out rather than try deny it & only go halfway.

That being said Pharcydes debut only came out a year before this album, i wasn't even born then but i'd take a guess at saying it wasn't THAT influential at its time & well heard of. Heck i could almost claim Soul Of Mischief debut album 3 odd years later is ''some fake ass Atban Klann shit'' :P

  • oh thank u so much))))

  • @AlinaKhoronyak my pleasure ;))

  • hey gyes!! can u help me? will u tell me who's the 3rd guy in this video?^^

    i know here: will.i.am and apl, and who's 3rd?

  • @AlinaKhoronyak The 3rd one is Dante Santiago ;)

  • You happy now, Fergie?!

  • I want to cry when i see what this amazing group has become

  • thumbs up for persistence

  • souls of mischief and pharcyde copycat muthafuckas

  • @RetardedPeopleLegion

they were all done around the same time ironically.

  • XD i have this single!

  • This is okay, I'm kind of glad they are the Black Eyed Peas though. Maybe will.i.am and apl.de.ap should break out these songs and the Black Eyed Peas can sing them? :)

  • @gsgracie

    No they'd be wank

  • Which one is mookie mook????

  • @Kaney Mookie Mook is the black guy with yellow hat in the beggining at 0:24-0:26 :P

  • @TheCrystalMeth23 What does he do for the crew? does he rap or produce

  • @Kaney rap & producer...like will, apl.de.ap & dante :P

  • @TheCrystalMeth23 He raps as well? Don't mean to be annpying but what songs does he rap on (so I what he sounds like) and what happend to him?

  • Sounds like Mr. Lif

  • fuck black eyed war

  • the 1 that dislikes this needs 2 stop listening to "i got a feeling"

  • Eazy would be bugging if he knew that they dropped ATBAN

  • Man they shoulda sticked to this..

  • this is a good song

  • the 90's ...... good fella.....back in the days

    this bassdrum ......

Now the BEP in da electro ..... pfffffffff damn....

  • They were signed by EAZY E'S FREAKIN RECORD LABEL?? And now they're singing gotta get that boom boom pow gotta get that boom boom pow (repeat 100 times). The BEP have gone way downhill since they got Fergie...

  • true dat, they're sellouts

  • @kneegrow2727 that's not true...even when Fergie join the group they make good music...since they made the electro album The E.N.D!

Man...stop seing that Fergie destroy the BEP's hip-hop era...did you forget about Where Is The Love? Shut Up? Let's Get It Started? Pump It? Don't Lie? Dum Diddly? and much more good songs they made...it was theyr choice to be more electro...not Fergie's...and i really think they do a good job even with their new stuff.

  • @TheCrystalMeth23 'Where is the Love' is probably my favorite Black Eyed Peas song, but I still think the overall quality of the Black Eyed Peas has decreased over the last few years.

  • @kneegrow2727 bank account went up though. I'm sure they will be just fine

  • fucking classic.

  • thats my cus josh..lol he looks so young..to bad he aint in the group nomore..=(

  • Damn i'm surprised i caught this here, youtube amazes me when you can find these hidden classics.... they oughta grab all the old school videos from "The Box"

  • i still got a lil stack of Atban Klann promo stickers hidden somewhere....ha ha!

    i miss these days

hip hop was so much more interesting then.

  • holy crap, i can't even find information on these guy on the internet yet you have promo stickers. i wonder why thier hardly known, i mean the black eyed peas get millions of views, but this can't even break 10000

  • Die Geile alte ZEIT!!!

  • Atbann Klann >>> B.E.P

  • yeah without fergie and taboo...

  • i just compared the boom pow video to this & "at night i pray" by wild orchid & i'm like wow. fergie use to be SEXY & the balck eyed peas/Atban Klann back in 92-2001 was the sh!t

  • Will always liked tp wear strange and cool sunglass

  • this was shelved, well theres another missin piece of hip hop

  • this is really great

  • I remember when this song came out and NOT liking it. My standards were alot higher back then cuz of all the dope shit that was coming out. I thought Atban Clan were a rip off of Boogie Monsters, Pharcyde and Das Efx. Now I wish todays artists had half the skills displayed on this. I do like the beats Will I Am produces... Boom Boom Pow goes off in the club I work at.

  • I have the edit master SOMEWHERE in my garage...

  • LOVE this!

    PEAce

  • Hey sorry coz I thing I stole ur video, I can remember but ...well

    PEACE!

and have a nice day =)

  • Biggest mistake in hip hop:shelving this album.

  • @steeltownbrown52 and now the guys who produced this are called the BLACK EYED PEAS making more money then you will eveer make

  • @jarrenskater No really?*sarcasm* What the fuck does that have to do with my comment saying that the Atban Klan album(Grass Roots) shouldn't have been shelved? I have a feeling I'm going to get another dumb-ass response from you.

  • @steeltownbrown52 I thought they never released the album due to the death of Eazy E, I'd like to find the album just because its a hard-to-find classic

  • @lyricalgod100 That's what BEP said in their interview with Source Magazine back in 98'. You can find "Grass Roots" online somewhere. Good luck in finding a physical copy tho.

  • @steeltownbrown52 two steps ahead on that, good lookin out

  • ...not even

its only similarity it the next level rawness

  • 1991-1992

  • I Gotta find diz damn album somewhere. DAMN DIZ SHIT IS RAW.

  • geeeeezzzzzzz

    maaaaannnnnnnnnnn

    you made my day.

  • Where the Hell did you find this! WoWO you are my favorite person right now! Will doesn't even have a copy of this video

  • "Will doesn't even have a copy of this video"

    ...wow, now thats RARE

  • @Grad3zer0 - Seriously the edit master IS in my garage if Will or anyone wants it

  • yep i want it !!!!!!!!!

  • haha, top left and bottom right corners? dude downloaded hypercam and recorded it from yahoo music video. bfd

  • damn

i didn't know there was a video for this

  • Shit, this is OLD!!! and a classic!

  • I remember me and Joshua (Mooky Mook) were chillin' at the Paramount studios. He was recording the final tracks for the Grass Roots album (this was like 1991-92 or sum ish like dat). Me, you, Will, (Will 1 X) Allan (Ap) Shah, Eclipse, Wills big bro Carl. These were cool times. The album relese party was fly. I remember coolin' at the Ol' apartment proj. where we would roll up fat spliffs of leaf (Allans step dads TREEZ) drying em in the microwave, bumpin' Digable Planets first LP. CLASSIC.

  • dang this is gangster.

  • oh they are so young ^^

Apl had an interesting hair cut :D

  • THEY ARE THE BEST

  • they wer awesome, even there first song as bep was good, before fergie

  • These guys ripped it with LA underground legends such as Freestyle Fellowship.... Too bad they insisted on going out like suckaz...

  • Wow, they actually had a video for this? I remember getting this album (bootleg tape) back in 97 and just blown away by it. Def. a favorite to this day. But never would I have thought back then, that they would come this far today...these same guys from that tape.

  • "Grass Roots" is a solid album, too bad it never got released.

  • :) cool
